“Pass This One Up”
We definitely wouldn't stay here again. Every single staff member was rude, and acted like any request was a huge inconvenience. Housekeeping barged into our room without knocking at 8am one morning- we were still sleeping. The computer terminal was broken and they still tried to charge us for usage. It's close to the metro but it's still about a mile walk in a filthy part of town. The room was large, but the fact that the front desk were such a-holes seals the deal for me. Pass this one up.
“Good for the price but a walk from the main attractions”
The room was clean and the staff was helpful(but not necessarily nice about it). Not much to eat in the immediate area but the breakfast at the hotel was pretty good. This hotel is a walk away from Termini, AT LEAST 20-25 mins. There are bus stops nearby though. I would stay again for a night or two. Area wasn't incredible but we only saw 1 hooker. I can deal with that.
“Great Value for Rome”
Conveniently located just outside the walls of ancient Rome on Viale Colombo and in close proximity to the Via Appia Antica and EUR. Reasonably priced parking garage and there is a great Pizzeria/Ristorante adjacent. Friendly and helpful staff. A/C was a littled weak, but overall the room was nice for this moderate price.
“Nothing special, not a great deal except for the free breakfast”
Rooms were too small, and my biggest complaint is the location and the extremely unfriendly staff at the front desk, the hotel is too far away from the metro station, and honestly the only good thing about this hotel is its free breakfast which was good and plenty. I wouldn't stay here again
“Good Value”
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Caravel. The floors were marble, and we had a small balcony. The cost was probably half of what you'd spend right in the heart of Rome, and it was very accessible. There is a bus stop right across the street that will take you into the heart of Rome, and it's a short ride.
