Great hotel, excellent staffPosted Feb 12, 2014
This hotel has the best front desk staff. They were incredibly helpful and would take the time to show us maps and places to go in Rome before we would head out for the day. Our room was incredibly clean and the bathroom was spotless- an overall great experience.

Very good for the pricePosted Feb 1, 2014
Very impressed with this small central hotel. It's a little hard to find (not well signed, on the first floor of a block next to a church on Via Nazionale). Considering its above a late opening Irish bar it's very well soundproofed, we weren't kept awake. Comfortable beds in a clean, if a bit small, room. Staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast that was included was standard European breakfast- cold meat, cheese, pastries, yoghurt and good coffee (obviously, given it was Italy). Location was excellent- didn't have to use the metro or buses to get to any of the sights. Considering all of the above, this place is incredible value for €40 per night in the centre of a European capitol. I imagine prices increase in the summer months, but I would not resent paying double what we did for a stay in the summer. Very pleased with our hotel choice- I would definitely recommend.

Hotel staff were wonderful.Posted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: See above
Location: Convenient to Termini Train Station, Barbarossa subway line, Trevi Fountain and near the stops for the various tourist bus lines.
We were greeted on arrival by the manager who was extremely helpful. He took our bags as we were there extremely early and provided us with a cup of coffee, maps and directions for the day. The following day I was sick and requested a late checkout. The staff was very kind and allowed me a very late checkout so that I could rest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome. It is convenient to all the local sites, quiet, clean and the staff is extremely helpful.

Great LocationPosted Dec 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very comfortable stay. Super bedroom and bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Adequate breakfast, no hot food (no kitchen). Don't stay here if you like sitting in the bar in the evening as it doesn't have one. There is an Irish Pub next door (very handy). Great location, within walking distance of all sights. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable, convenient, good value - will returnPosted Jun 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
I’d definitely stay here again. Better value than another equally nice hotel nearby, where I also have stayed. Conveniently located – walking distance from Termini and to just about almost every major Roma highlight. Room was attractive and beds were very comfortable. Typical room size for a boutique hotel – comfortable but not spacious; triple was a double bed and single. Very clean. Full size tub and shower – nice suprise. Traditional European breakfast - breads, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit. Owner/staff was very helpful. Wifi but no public PC. Occasional steps in the hall and room – consideration if handicap.

Rome's Cortina accomm.Posted Sep 23, 2011
I needed somewhere centrally located, not far from Termini, but convenient & modestly priced. The Cortina met my needs admirably. It's 3 star so not luxurious but comfortable & economical. Breakfast was pleasant, and the staff (including Manager Angelo) were always obliging. Provided you don't expect something palatial for this price, and can live with the typically cosy italian shower space, you should not be disappointed. Archaeo volunteer.

Good place to stay in RomePosted Feb 5, 2010
Very friendly and attentive management. Air conditioning in room was very welcome on a warm Roman evening.
