Good location but terrible hotelPosted Nov 30, 2013
This is not a 4 star hotel, some of the hotel staff was very rude with us. Im never coming back to this hotel. Very sad bc it has a very good location.

Terrible. Stay elsewhere.Posted Nov 10, 2013
They first put us up in the only room on the third floor which is most aptly described as an attic. With such low ceilings, my 6 ft boyfriend couldn't even stand at one end of the room. There were no windows and no closet. There were holes in the wall, and the handle for hot water kept coming off. We complained and asked for a new room, but they seemed reluctant to give us another room. They told us that they were fully booked and didn't have enough rooms. We then asked to be put in the next room that was checked out, but they said that nobody would be checking out during our stay. However, they magically found a room for us after 15 min of complaining, and we soon found out why they hesitated to offer this room. Although the room at first glance felt like a typical hotel room, it was simply unacceptable. The window was broken such that we were unable to close it when it got cold at night (it was early November at the time), and the shower flooded the entire bathroom floor every time it was used. We confronted the front desk about the window, and the employee simply shrugged and told us that they were aware. We asked for the window to be fixed since they clearly had construction going on in other parts of the hotel, but when we returned 12 hours later, nothing had been done. The window was not fixed until the night before our departure. This hotel simply does not deserve 4 stars. The only consolation is its close proximity to the Collesseum and Roman Forum.

Older hotel is well kept and great location.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Good staff, location
Cons: in room refrigerator was smelly but worked
Location: lots of everything that the tourist needs in the way of restaurants and shopping, and 10 minute walk to tour buses at Plaza Catalunya
Helpful staff, right on the Ramblas and lots of shopping, restaurants nearby. Generous breakfast included. Good value. Location can be noisy at night - take your ear plugs - the Tango show is next door.

Great Location, Poor QualityPosted Sep 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Location was perfect, very centrally located to great tourist sites... however hotel not properly maintained, breakfast was pitiful, arrived back to the room 2X with the door unlocked and open, no AC in common areas (smelled like mold)... overall I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.
