Nice hotel, good location

Posted Sep 15, 2014
A hotel popular with Americans, it offers a good location close to Castle St Angelo (5 mins walk) and the Vatican (less than 10 mins walk), and just a 15 minute walk across the river to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Rooms are in decent order and relatively well furnished. Beds are not the most comfortable but remember what you're paying; the hotel is fairly good value for money. The room was however, clean, and there were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. The shower was weak but the water was hot. Breakfast is not great; the scrambled eggs are burnt yet runny, the croissants are glazed, and the bacon rather inedible. It is however, okay for a basic continental breakfast, and was plentiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly, which made our stay pleasant and hassle free. They also have free wifi in the lobby. Overall, the property is a little dated, but don't let that deter you from what will be a pleasant stay.

Excellent location to all tourist destination.

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: Perhaps to have a toaster and sliced bread as old people found the crust hard to chew.
Location: All major tourist places are walking distance. Basilica was near by and even the buses was easy to take around.
Quiet and peaceful location. Breakfast was very good.

Surprisingly Nice

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Staff and modern renovations. Breakfast area and service top notch.
Very nice hotel. English speaking staff very helpful to Americans. 20 minutes walk to St Peters (not the Vatican Museum entrance) which was our primary purpose. Walk across the Tiber for great & reasonable restaurants and principle shopping streets.

20 minute walk to the Vatican. Quite Central.

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: It was quite central for all the sights.
Location: Good location for most of the sights. Within walking distance or 5 mins by Taxi.
We had a good experience at this hotel. Staff were excellent! We had a few problems with one of the rooms but apart from that we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good with a good selection.

Great hotel

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: A high standard in all respects, very helpful staff
Cons: There is no coffee making facilities in the room and we like a coffee late evening, so we missed this option
Location: Rome is nearby, whatever you want to see, it is there within 20 mins walk. Loads of places to eat.
Great hotel, very helpful staff. We wanted a central place to start our days from and this hotel is ideal.

Clean, pleasant hotel.

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Clean, good beds and friendly.
Cons: A pool would be ace.
Location: August is a big holiday in Rome and therefore most of the local restaurants and shops were closed so a good ten minute walk required to get to things.
Very clean, great airconditioning, not much to do in the hotel, small but well stocked gym, free wifi in the hotel lobby, small but pricey bar. lots of walking required to get to sights in Rome. Drinking water fountains great, toilets are few.
