Good location to see everythingPosted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff Free WiFi Great location
Cons: better quality toiletries more comfy beds and plumper pillows
Location: Vatican 10mins Spanish Steps - 10-15mins Trevi Fountain - 15-20mins Colloseum - 25-30mins
Very friendly staff - always a smile and on hand to help. Great location, 10-15 min walk from Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain & Vatican. Colloseum was only 25-30 mins walk but we were also advised we could take No 87 bus there. In walking distance to loads of restaurants. Breakfast was good, fruits, yoghurts, pastries, scrambled egg and bacon. Tea/coffee and juice. Free WiFi in the lobby. Room was spacious and clean, although the bed was a little uncomfortable for me but my husband thought it was fine. There is a central atrium down the middle of the building that is outside with a seating area so at night if people were outside and you had your window open it could get a little noisy (I brought earplugs and was fine) Our room had only a shower (no bath) but they only provided bath foam rather than shower gel...lucky I had brought my own shower gel.

Perfect location and friendly staffPosted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Location: Many things within 15/20 minute walking distance ... Vatican, Spanish Steps and yet far enough away to not feel overly busy.
Stayed for 4 nights in April with my 2 boys the reception staff checked us in and took time to explain location, some recommended restuarants and distance and routes to close by attractions. Throughout the stay we were shown respect and given the feeling nothing was too much trouble.... always helpful without being overbearing. Breakfast was perfectly fine (we knew it was going to be continental style - which suited us just fine) - the breakfast room staff were friendly and welcoming and always had a smile). Lovely place and would recommend to anyone

Perfect base for walking to main sightsPosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Spotlessly clean and well maintained.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in all bedrooms would be a welcome addition.
Location: Great location for all the main attractions
We found the hotel to be very comfortable, clean and in a great location. Being just over the river Tiber close to the Castel St Angelo it is only an easy 20 minute walk to the Vatican but is tucked away in a nice quiet area. The other attractions such as the Pantheon and Coliseum are also all walkable within 30 minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

Great Hotel, Great Location... Just not cheapPosted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Everything was great, cleanliness, facilities and the staff were so helpful (nothing was too much trouble).
Cons: The price list of everything along with the consistency of the cocktail making... everyone made cocktails different (giving different flavours).
Location: Very central, local restaurants such as Alfredo's, St.anna and T-bone junction (for steak & chips type meals)... bus stop nearby, great location.
The Hotel is located centrally in relation to the Vatican and Trevi Fountain, which is an ideal starting point for a walking adventure. The Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from two hop on hop off bus tours which were great for getting around the main attractions. The Hotel itself is very nice and the staff are without question, helpful and efficient. They give a great overview on arrival and give you handy maps and brochures to use should you need to. The room was lovely and cleaned daily (also providing a turn down service of an evening which was a pleasant change). On one occasion we were in and out of the hotel quite frequently one day, which meant on three occasions we were in our room when they tried to clean it... no problem for the staff, and after an evening meal, we returned to find our room cleaned and minibar re-stocked. The only downside, which when staying in a city hotel you must come to expect, is that the price of food and drink within the hotel was somewhat disproportionate to that of restaurants in the same street (which were nicer). 14 euros for a ham sandwich was a tad extortionate... however, you don't have to eat there, so it isn't really a show stopping experience. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone (Be mindful that breakfast is strictly continental, which consists of fresh meats, cereals, fruit along with egg and bacon)... personal preferences will dictate whether you opt for the breakfast or not. Great hotel, great staff - would re-vist!

Pros: Everything. I travel extensively and rarely come across gems like the Dei Mellini.
Cons: Nothing. Keep it as it is!
Location: Close to the Vatican and the sights. Great restaurants nearby. Cannot recommend too highly!
A weekend break in March. Warm welcome, excellent accommodation and nothing too much trouble for the friendly staff.

Veni Vidi ViciPosted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Great location for all the tourist sights. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Some areas could do with a lick of paint - in reality not as sumptuous as the photos lead you to believe. Could make a better bar area.
Location: Easy to walk to the main tourist sights - Vatican close by, as is Villa Borghese. Centro Storico is a manageable walk away. Great location.
Spent 4 days in Rome and had a great stay overall. Would recommend the city - lots to see - and the hotel.
