Nice boutique Hotel close to VaticanPosted Mar 20, 2014
Pros: Staff was helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Exterior of the building facing the breakfast area is sorely in need of repairs and detracts from an otherwise nice morning meal setting.
Location: Close to the Vatican and Castle St. Angelo, but far flung from all other popular tourist attractions.
My wife and I stayed here in Nov'13 on our anniversary vacation. Thought the location would provide a good base from which to tour the city due to the proximity to the Vatican. I was good for this over all, but not as centrally located within the tourist attractions as I would have liked. Nice and close (15 min walk) to the Vatican but much farther from other sites. The staff were friendly and helpful. Local restaurants and ammenities were close and very good. The layout of the hotel itself is a little odd, with each room set off to the side in their own little niches off the central stair way. But this did not detract from the overall experience. Our room was a good size with a very nice bath room. The air conditioner struggled to keep up, so I imagine in the summer it could be very hot. Breakfast was served in a common dining area central to the hotel, with both a closed in non-smoking and an open smoking area. It would become quite busy at times, due to travelling groups, but by getting up a little later or earlier it was easy to avoid the crowding. The food was typical European breakfast fare, with cold cereals, breads, meats & cheeses. As long as you are not looking for traditional North American hot breakfast it was fine. Finding anything else would be a challenge anyway. Bottom line we enjoyed our trip and would stay here again.

Nice Hotel perfect locationPosted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: Location was good & central to all the tourist places
Cons: tea & coffee making facility's would of been nice
Location: Quiet but central with nice evening strolls along the river in the evenings
The hotel was in a good location & we found that we were able to walk to all the tourist spots we were on a busy street but our room was facing the backing street & was therefore quiet would stay here again if I come back to Rome & would recommend it to friends & family

8 day business trip in RomePosted Oct 24, 2013
This hotel is suited to tourists who are looking for cheaper accommodation in the centre of Rome. It certainly didn't suit my needs as a business traveller and as such didn't represent good value for money.
