Gem in the heart of the city

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Walking distance to Trevy Fountain, Spanish steps, palazzo navona, Barberini Palace Museum, shopping, great restaurants
Location: Walking distance to Trevy fountain, Spanish steps, palazzo navona, shopping, great restaurants etc.
We had a huge room. Much larger than I expected with a view of the courtyard and really nice marble floors. The room was pleasantly comfortable with air conditioning, hairdryer a safe for valuables and a minibar that we could keep water in. I was happy with the great housekeeping staff and very pleasant and professional reception. Some of the gentlemen at reception spoke French in addition to English and Italian (of course). The courtyard was beautiful, they really should put a picture of that on the internet. Breakfast can be eaten outside in the courtyard if you're okay with pigeons or inside. Simple breakfast, good coffee machine with Hot chocolate for the kids.

Nice room and hotel. Staff were helpful. WiFi was a big problem. Didn't work in the room and barely in the lobby.

Walking distance to metro and major bus routes. Great location for restaurants and gelato shops,. Felt very safe in neighborhood. The breakfast had everything you could want - very well done. Pleasant court yard to enjoy. Pleasant bilingual staff. Bathroom facilities were up to date. Would go back again. Great price.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Bed very firm and shower has no door closure so water flies everywhere.
Location: Walking distance to train station and Trevi Fountain.
Easy to walk location from train station. Good value for the cost. Breakfast buffet had a large variety of foods.

Perfect for a short city break

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Very helpful and cheerful staff, clean, good breakfast, good location, would recommend this hotel and would definitely return.
Cons: The only thing missing was a bar but as we were leaving, the management were making arrangements to set up an outside bar in the courtyard - perfect
Location: within easy walking distance of all major sightseeing attractions, just off a major road but pleasantly peaceful having its own private courtyard
We had a fabulous time at the Domus Romana. I had booked a standard room and was a bit worried that I should maybe have upgraded but the room was wonderful with a little balcony overlooking the courtyard. We slept well (very tired from walking all day or was it the wonderful local wine from the restaurant over the road!?) in a lovely, clean and very comfortable bed. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a really good start to the day. Our stay in Rome was fabulous and made all the better by the comfort and location of the Domus Romana. I would highly recommend it - thank you

Great location for walking throughout Rome, Italy.

Cons: The wallpaper in the room should be removed or replaced.
Location: Trivia Fountain, Termini train station. Walking distance to Colosseum, Wedding Cake, Palentine Hills, many churches, Vatican City, Sistine chapel.
Great breakfast buffet, plenty of food right up until 10:30 a.m.. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. WiFi available in limited area within hotel room but available in the lobby and 2nd floor lounge.

Good experience

The hotel is conveniently located - 5 minutes to metro Repubblica, 10 minutes walking to the Trevi fountain, 20 minutes walking to Colosseum. Nice breakfast every morning. We had the quadruple room - nothing special, just 4 beds, but we just slept there after our busy days, so that was OK. It would be nice if the room had some storage. We literally lived out of our suit cases. But that was fine too. One thing - the bathroom was nice but the bath tub was very high, so if you are not tall you might have some difficulty get in. But regardless, we would stay there again.

Great Location

Pros: Cleanliness, Location, Hotel Staff, Complimentary Breakfast was great!!!
Cons: Better wifi access (very spotty in the rooms) and a "cozier bed."
Location: EVERYTHING IS NEARBY!!!!
This hotel truly is close to many of the sights in Rome. Most of the city is within walking distance from this hotel which helps to make it an ideal location. Furthermore, the hotel is extremely clean and the hotel staff was truly attentive to our needs.

Pretty good

Overall a good experience. Rooms are small, but have everything including a kitchen. We also had a big terrace which was the best feature.
