Perfectly adequate hotel.
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Just returned from a 5 night stay with partner and 2 daughters to celebrate his 50th Birthday. Like others, I spent a long time researching hotels to stay in Rome. This was time well spent as this hotel is perfectly adequate for staying in Rome. All the staff were consistently professional and cheerful and offered advice and guidence upon request. The room (106) was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was a bit awkward, especially the toilet and smallish shower, but the water was always hot and the water pressure was fine. We did not open the window at night due to the bank of air conditioning boxes right outside, but I think they could well be extremely noisy in the hotter months and very annoying. The breakfasts were very, very nice, especially the fresh fruit and croissants. There was always plenty of choice. The location of the hotel is perfect. Apart from a taxi to the Vatican (organised by the hotel) we walked everywhere. This hotel is not in a touristy, tacky area. It is in the heart of where Romans live and work and this was reflected in the piazza's, the restaurants, bars and gelatos. This is the area to watch stylish Italian men and women. I would highly recommend this hotel. .

Good hotel in a wonderful location

We loved the location - a nice neighborhood with good restaurants, close to the forum. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was the best we found in Italy.

Comfortable room, friendly staff.

Pros: Lots of North American television stations which was nice since we were at the end of our trip. Also, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Our room was in the Annex and the initial impression of the building was that it was dark and not that inviting.
Location: Very convenient
We liked the location as it is close to the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Our room in the Annex was very quiet. The breakfast was the best of all our stays on this holiday and there was great variety. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived we found our room smelled like cigarette smoke - we were immediately relocated to a fresh, comfortable room.

Good for our family

Pros: size of living area of apartment / annex
Cons: size of shower, outside noise at night
This was overall a good place to stay. I had no issues with the staff, though when I arrived the hotel manager informed me that breakfast was not free with my reservation, even though both the hotel website and the Expedia booking indicated complimentary breakfast. Internet access via Wifi was free. The location is safe; it is about 300m north of the Colosseum which is SW of many of the common attractions. It is also near a metro station which is one stop away from the Termini train station, which you will probably arrive at from the airport. If you don't care about breakfast and just need a decent place to stay then this is still a good option, just watch out for the fine print (or lack thereof).

Fantastic location, clean hotel, friendly staff
Posted Jan 14, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
Location: Really easy to walk to pretty much all the touristy sites around here and was only 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum. Decent eateries in the area.
My boyfriend a I stayed here for three nights and had a lovely time. The rooms were modern and clean but they were not particularly large and we did pay for an upgrade. However, I would recommend this hotel. It was really easy to walk to pretty much all the touristy sites around here and was only 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum. There were some decent places to eat really all around the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Rare Gem of a Hotel

Location: Fantastic
We stayed for 5 days in April with four of us in a suite on the fourth floor. Mother, Father and two daughters aged 17 & 15. Although the room was small as advertised it was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. We had a terrace facing the afternoon sun. The hotel is right in the middle of all attractions. 5 mins from the Colossus and the Forum, 10 from the Pantheon etc. The only sight not really walkable is the Vatican. This hotel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in, the staff, breakfast, service and location are all superb. Fab!

Stress-free and pleasant hotel experience

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff
Location: Amazingly close to the Colosseum and Forum
A lovely little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. About 3 minutes' walk from the Colosseum and the Forum, and nearby is the Via di Panisperma which has some nice bars and shops. I liked the system of leaving your keys at the desk when you go out, as you then never have to worry about losing your keys, and the reception desk is open 24 hours. There is an amazing gelateria right next to the hotel which was an added bonus!

Great Hotel with friendly staff
Posted Jan 31, 2013
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Our room overlooked the street. If the windows were open there was a lot of noise from cafes and bars. The windows did a great job of blocking it.
Location: In the Monti neighborhood a few blocks from the Colosseum and Forum.
We stayed in the family suite which was laid out beautifully. The large walk-in closet made the room feel much bigger. It was quite comfortable for us and our two teenagers. The staff was helpful and friendly and spoke English. The location is very convenient a few blocks from the Colosseum and Forum, a few yards from the Cavour metro station. There were many interesting restaurants to choose from with a few blocks.
