Excellent front desk servicePosted Jan 2, 2013
Pros: the room was a bit of a let down, the staff and breakfast are certainly worthy of a 4 star hotel and we would stay again.
We stayed at Hotel Eliseo for three nights and would stay again. The room was the lone let down ... tired, a little noisy at times (we love silence) and on the small side but it was clean, had a serviceable bar fridge with reasonably priced drinks (a can of coke was cheaper from the fridge in the room than from the vendors in the nearby Borghese park). The bathroom had been recently renovated, was clean, fresh and reasonably spacious. The room also had windows that opened along with a series of shutters which allowed us to determine how much air, light and noise came in from the street. Don't miss the breakfast (included) on the top floor with a brilliant view. They serve a nice variety of fresh cheeses, fruit, meat, cereal and pastries and again the service is friendly and efficient. The front desk is wonderful to deal with. Particularly Claudio, who clearly enjoys his work and loves to share his knowledge of Rome with guests. While the room was a bit of a let down, the staff and breakfast are certainly worthy of a 4 star hotel and we would stay again.

Would definitely stay there next time!Posted May 4, 2005
I do not speak Italian but the staff at Hotel Eliseo were a tremendous help as I navigated around Rome. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast on the penthouse roof was wonderful. The people at the hotel definitely added much to the enjoyment of my trip.

Hotel Eliseo was a perfect place for my first time in Rome. The room (a triple) was exactly as shown in virtual tour - and knowing how small European rooms can be, I was pleased to find that my two adult daughters and I could fit our overpacked luggage. Enjoyed the great location in the beautiful Via Veneto -just short walk to the great shops near the Spanish Steps and beyond -Metro and bus very near, also. Perfect mixture of Italian old world and modern convenience. Only praise for the beautiful view each morning at the rooftop restaurant. If this is your price range - you won't be disappointed. Wish I was there.

Great location, excellent servicePosted Feb 1, 2005
This hotel is right next to the Villa Borghese and is very nice. The rooms are small for American standards, but have everything you need. The staff is very nice and helpful. The front desk loaned me an electrical converter during my stay. The lounge is a very nice place to sit in the evening. It's a 10 minute walk from the Spanish Steps and about 15 minutes to Trevi Fountain. The restaurants in the area are a bit touristy, but generally good. An internet cafe is about a five minute walk. The breakfast is good and the breakfast room, atop the hotel is very nice. I highly recommend the hotel.
