Nice hotel, helpful staff

Posted May 8, 2014
All the hotels in Rome claim to offer aircon but given the age of the buildings this is always more or less impossible unless they are the big hotels that cost miss than 300 per night. Sadly this hotel had the same issue but at least they told us. We had an issue with our showerhead which they fixed immediately and did t blame us for (our wasnt or fault but in Rome....) Our room even far a terrace. For 100 euros a night this war a great deal!

Cozy hotel in Rome.

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Cozy small, clean rooms but would return - no questions asked....... Great lighting so could easily read at night.
Cons: Replace all carpeting with non carpet flooring There is no way to keep it clean and it is impossible to shampoo it daily.....
Location: located North of the major sights but close to Villa Borghese and within walking distance of Via Veneto. Many easy bus routes to move you around......
The location is north of the the major sights of Rome but local bus routes made it easy to get around. The hotel rooms on upper floors were in better shape (cleaner and not as worn out) than those on the lower floors. I stayed on the 4th floor and the 1st floor....... The 4th floor was 4 star, the 1st floor was 2 star....... I would return to this hotel and would recommend it to others......

Value for money

Posted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: Value for money
Cons: new carpets and paint would be nice
Location: There are some nice local coffee shops and restaurants (eat in and take out) right across the Corso' Italia. The department store on the corner is ok.
First off, 4 stars in Italy are not exactly what 4 stars are in the US, so be aware. After reading the other reviews I was a little nervous, but this is not a bad spot, and very inexpensive considering we visited during peak season (Christmas). The small room had a nice bath and a shared terrace. Breakfast was good. Ask for the capuccino, which is much better than the regular coffee. 30 minutes walking to Colloseum/Forum and Navona. 10 min to Piazza Republica and the Metro (20 min to Vatican in Metro). If you know how to ride, rent a Vespa one day to get to all the sites that you cannot hit by walking - it's fun, but drive extra careful!

Not too far away from the city center

Posted Dec 15, 2013
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Change carpets in the room and have slippers for guests
Location: 20 min by bus to the centre. Vila Borghese in walking distance.
Staff was helpful but the cleaniness wasn't very good. Carpets need to be changed. Hot water in the shower kept changing to cold. They can also change towels - smell and rough.

NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL

Posted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: Good Breakfast Buffet
Cons: Front desk staff
Location: Very close to the main train/bus station, TERMINI. Only a 15min. walk. We walked to all the attractions. Never took the bus or trains.
Most of the front desk staff are very rude. The kitchen staff and house keeping staff were nice. We were not in our rooms much. Decent hotel. Our shower head in the washroom was broken. Did not bother to complain though. Be aware of the city tax the hotel charges. It gets more expensive the longer you stay.

Pros: Location and Price
Cons: The Bar facilities
Location: Its Rome, if you cant find anything to do you are not trying.
20 minutes walk from nearest attractions but good bus service. 20 mins to metro. A short stay hotel lacking in facilities. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful. Poor bar facilities. Clean , basic but just about everything you need for a short stay. Price reasonable and value for money. Reception very good and a relaxed approach. Hotel was nearly full in November so is popular. I had excellent wifi on the 6th floor! Tv okay if you speak Italian. I would use it again. I booked 7 rooms for a group and they were all happy with their stay.
