The entire staff at the Hutel Forum was accomodating and eager to please. Each person on the front desk as well as the restaurant and rooftop bar were friendly and lovely. With this said I will address the condition of the hotel. It is in need of updates. The furniture in common areas as well as the guest rooms are very worn. We stayed (3 rooms) for 8 days and from time to time there was an unpleasant odor in the hallways and the elevator. I reported this issue to the front desk and they did send a staff person to check it out, but claimed he could not smell the odor. A different day the elevator on the extension property had swarms of fruit flys inside. The hotel staff did come up and address the problem and eliminated the flys. On a positive note the location of the Hotel Forum could not have been better. It is located within walking distance to all the main sightseeing attractions in Rome, as well as good eateries. Lastly, the rooftop cafe has a nice staff and an unbeatable view of Rome. Gorgeous by night.

Excellent hotel in a fabulous location

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: Our room was very comfortable and the staff very helpful. Location perfect!
Cons: It's lovely just as it is; would be lovely to have had a spa but for the size of the hotel it isn't possible.
Location: The location is perfect, everything is nearby!
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; the best thing about this hotel is its location - it's within walking distance to everything you wish to see. The furthest walk we had was to the Vatican but that only took us 25 minutes and such a beautiful walk seeing parts of Rome you wouldn't normally see if using public transport. Highly recommend it, we would definitely stay here again on future visits.

Great location

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: The staff were always courteous and the location was ideal as a base. The hotel looks good with tasteful decor.
Cons: Some aspects of housekeeping, the lighting in the room near the mirror, a full length mirror.
Location: Near historic sights, bars, excellent restaurants. Near good transport links including bus, tram, metro. About thirty minutes from the airport.
Hotel staff were very nice but our room, 407, felt a little cramped for two people and did not have a full length mirror. Some housekeeping could be improved upon, like changing the towels a little more often or refilling toiletries. The hotel is charming and I would stay here again but I would need a more comfortable room.

Great location and very nice hotel

Great location only 5 minutes walk from the colosseum. Lovely big room with an entrance room (with table, wardrobe and safe), large bathroom and twin bedroom. Staff were very pleasant. Lovely view from the patio bar on the rooftop. Near to plenty of restaurants and gelato is only a 2 minute walk away! Would definitely stay here again - seemed to be in a reasonable area and felt safe walking back in the evenings.

Fabulous location

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Location! Location! Location!
Cons: We loved the hotel as it was, but thought the bathroom ( for room 221) though a good size, needed a little upgrading.
Location: The whole of Ancient Rome is just across the Road. Don't miss Michaelangelo's Moses, in quiet St Pietro in Vincoli, 10 minutes walk up Via Cavour.
Stayed here for a 4 day holiday in Rome in September. The hotel has a fabulous location, beside the Imperial Forums. From the roof terrace where breakfast is served, (and dinner if you want to splash out) you can look over the whole Forum area, to the Palatine and Capitoline hills, and the Victor Emmanuel monument. We liked the style of the hotel - typical old Italian, with rugs on dark wooden floors, old fashioned furniture and high ceilinged rooms, but clean and comfortable, with a good bed and large towels and plenty of hot water for the shower. Our second floor standard room looked over a small courtyard and roof terrace to other buildings, so no view, but it was quiet, the air conditioning worked, and so did the Wifi. The staff were all really attentive and helpful. Have a drink at the American Bar on the roof at sunset - worth every penny! There are lots of good eating places nearby, at every price range. Would happily come back here.

Good Location. Close to all major Attractions

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location and close to all Attractions
Cons: Extend Breakfast to 11.00am
Location: Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Shopping
Overall thoroughly enjoyed stay. Perhaps as part of the package, Hotel should offer complimentary Taxi to and from Hotel rather than complimentary Drink? Not everyone drinks Alcohol. But overall enjoyable stay and no Problems.
