Excellent location

A real find. Great location, helpful staff who when asked, swapped our small dark room for a better one on a higher floor. Fantastic views from American bar.

Not a 4* Star hotel. Close to Roman Forum.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The location and breakfast.
Cons: The wifi, the decor, the state of the rooms. The TV's have only foreign channels and the signal on them is terrible.
Location: The colleseum, the roman forum etc.
Definately not a 4* star. The hotel had a great location but the decor the rooms and everything else was average. The rooms were not soundproof-we could hear a man sneezing on the floor above us. We could hear every conversation in the corridors. The prices for drinks were ridiculous, but the breakfast despite costing 18 euros was better value for money than a lot of the restaurants we found outside. The hotel claims to have unlimited Wifi, however it was most annoying having to walk around our room trying to find the hotspot, which we discovered was right by our bathroom. There was no wifi in the lobby at times, despite asking reception the issue was not resolved. The TV showed only foreign channels and the signal kept cutting off. All in all very dissapointing, and not worth the money paid.

Great location, comfortable rooms, charming hotel

The Forum hotel is conveniently located with a fantastic view from the rooftop bar. Reasonable prices. Rooms are a bit small but typical for a European hotel. Only downside is the breakfast. Not much selection for the price.

Central Rome Hotel

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The architecture. Also, staff dealt with matters in a quiet and efficient manner, from housekeeping to taxi transfers arriving when you wanted
Cons: Food prices outside the package are a tad expensive
You could not be closer to the action at this Hotel! Step outside the doors and you are straight-away transported into a world 2,000 years ago! The Coloseum is a short walk away; almost a stone's throw, but the stone's are incredible. In the other direction is central Rome with all the sights you could imagine for a visit to this city. And the Vatican is only a bus ride across the Tiber. The hotel sits within this grandeur very well, with colonades and marbled interior keeping things cool (in all senses of the word) throughout.

Good hotel, good location

Posted Jun 30, 2014
A good experience staying here. View of parts of the Forum from our window. Just over 5 minutes walk to the Coloseum. Didn't try the hotel breakfast at €18 because you need to experience the Roman breakfast of pastries and coffee for €5. The hotel wi-fi is very hit and miss but I think that's Rome rather than this hotel! Would stay here again.

3 Blocks from the Colosseum

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Location
Location: Main tourists sights close enough to walk to. Except Vatican City.
Hotel was okay. Bar across the street was noisy every night. Location great. Heat / air conditioning ran all night, annoying. Staff not too friendly. Restaurant pricey.

Perfect location. Brilliant staff.

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Location and very helpful friendly staff. The most comfortable beds of any hotel we have ever stayed in.
Cons: Maintenance. Some fittings very 'tired'.
Location: Perfect location with all main Rome tourist attractions within walking distance.
Perfect location, brilliant staff, first rate view from the roof-top Restaurant and excellent breakfasts etc.....but the owners need to spend a little more on maintenance. Having said that, we would definitely stay there again.
