BathroomPosted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: Location. Rooftop restaurant.
Cons: Mentioned above.
Location: Foro Romano and Colosseo.
Our room had a confined shower stall only with plastic curtain. Its wall and floor tiles are outdated. This kind of arrangement should be improved.

Amazing location - very friendly - bit small.Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: clean - friendly, central location.
Cons: better OJ for breakfast.
Location: right next to the ancient sites - 20 mins walk from the trevi fountain and and loads of restaurants nearby.
Spent a long weekend 3 nights in the hotel. fantastic location for the colosseum and forum. great reception staff - very welcoming and friendly and knowledgable. roof top restaurant and bar have great views. room was spotlessly clean and bed quite comfy. room a little small. bathroom also a little small - especially shower - but plenty of hot water. the breakfast was nice - though orange juice possibly the worst I've ever tasted! didn't eat in the hotel restaurant so many great places around. have to remember its only a 4 star hotel with no real pretentions - there was an american one night complaining loudly in reception about GOK what. not quite sure what she was expecting - staff were incredible polite to her never the less. decor is a little dated - lobby a bit boring - but hey when in centre of rome - why sit in the lobby - why not get out and see the sights. would definitely use again.

Hotel close to FAO BuildingPosted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: The location to where I needed to be
Cons: Think about providing a hotpot and fridge for the convenience of the guest
Location: It close to the restaurants and tourist attraction and the FAO Building
The hotel room was small but clean. Was not able to bath without touching the side of the bath. There was no coffee maker in the room or a hotpot to make any tea which I always look for in my hotel room as I love to drink a cup of tea or coffee before going to sleep. The fridge had no room for my water, fruits and drink that I both as it stock with there stuff which I did not need. Other than that it was ok

The entire staff at the Hutel Forum was accomodating and eager to please. Each person on the front desk as well as the restaurant and rooftop bar were friendly and lovely. With this said I will address the condition of the hotel. It is in need of updates. The furniture in common areas as well as the guest rooms are very worn. We stayed (3 rooms) for 8 days and from time to time there was an unpleasant odor in the hallways and the elevator. I reported this issue to the front desk and they did send a staff person to check it out, but claimed he could not smell the odor. A different day the elevator on the extension property had swarms of fruit flys inside. The hotel staff did come up and address the problem and eliminated the flys. On a positive note the location of the Hotel Forum could not have been better. It is located within walking distance to all the main sightseeing attractions in Rome, as well as good eateries. Lastly, the rooftop cafe has a nice staff and an unbeatable view of Rome. Gorgeous by night.

Excellent hotel in a fabulous locationPosted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: Our room was very comfortable and the staff very helpful. Location perfect!
Cons: It's lovely just as it is; would be lovely to have had a spa but for the size of the hotel it isn't possible.
Location: The location is perfect, everything is nearby!
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; the best thing about this hotel is its location - it's within walking distance to everything you wish to see. The furthest walk we had was to the Vatican but that only took us 25 minutes and such a beautiful walk seeing parts of Rome you wouldn't normally see if using public transport. Highly recommend it, we would definitely stay here again on future visits.

Great locationPosted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: The staff were always courteous and the location was ideal as a base. The hotel looks good with tasteful decor.
Cons: Some aspects of housekeeping, the lighting in the room near the mirror, a full length mirror.
Location: Near historic sights, bars, excellent restaurants. Near good transport links including bus, tram, metro. About thirty minutes from the airport.
Hotel staff were very nice but our room, 407, felt a little cramped for two people and did not have a full length mirror. Some housekeeping could be improved upon, like changing the towels a little more often or refilling toiletries. The hotel is charming and I would stay here again but I would need a more comfortable room.

Great location and very nice hotelPosted Sep 14, 2014
Great location only 5 minutes walk from the colosseum. Lovely big room with an entrance room (with table, wardrobe and safe), large bathroom and twin bedroom. Staff were very pleasant. Lovely view from the patio bar on the rooftop. Near to plenty of restaurants and gelato is only a 2 minute walk away! Would definitely stay here again - seemed to be in a reasonable area and felt safe walking back in the evenings.
