The hotel overall was nice, but the room was a little out of date. It is a wonderful place, with a great location.

Not recommendedPosted Aug 5, 2014
Room type should have been 1 queen and two singles for a family of four, we received 1 Queen and 1 double sofa bed, unsuitable for teenage daughter and sibling. Electricity in our room went off numerous times two mornings out of the three, but only in our room!! Rude bar staff, very poor hotel

Fine hotel with minor flawsPosted Aug 4, 2014
The Hotel Forum remains a benchmark for simple elegance, with a warm staff and unparalleled location. It's hard to beat the sunset drink on the rooftop bar overlooking the forum. Unfortunately, the wifi is weak (really only works in the lobby) which is simply not acceptable in the 21st century. Also, the water temperature is variable. Without these minor flaws, the hotel is deserving of a high rating. Even with them the quality-to-price ratio is excellent.

Smaller than expected.Posted Jul 31, 2014
My overall experience was positive, but I will likely try another hotel on my next visit. Our actual room was far smaller than it appeared online. The staff was pleasant and professional, but the room furnishing were dated and somewhat worn.

Lovely hotel with historic charm.Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The staff and high end wood paneling. The window shades are European doors.
Cons: The hotel is definitely updating facilities without losing the charm and history. The AC is great. More electrical outlets needed.
Location: Fantastic location. In the heart of the main city tourist attractions and tour bus services. Many shops of all kinds within walking distance.
My wife and I visited Rome for the first time. She traveled from the USA a day early. She reported the room was small but a "Jewel". I came in from my job in KSA a day later. The view from the room was nice looking out at the busy tourists. Nice satin bedspread. Bed was two twin mattresses side by side which worked out well. Everything was clean. Nice furniture, Very high ceiling. Bath was a shower with small seat. Not as big as I would have liked but adequate. Nice places shelves in shower for accessories. Restaurant on the roof was fantastic with well dressed and helpful staff. We got the with breakfast option and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent. The buffet is not huge like a massive hotel often has but was appropriately sized for the hotel. There is also a small bar one flight up with a similar view. There are two elevators that each hold four people. Taxi service to hotel is wonderful. There is one computer beside the lobby for guest use with a printer. The hotel is ideal for tourists and families. It is not an electronic business hotel, but the lobby does have two large desks. This hotel is very close to the forum, coliseum, Imperial building, Trajan's tower, and tour bus stops. It is perfectly located for the tourist who came to see Rome. There are many sidewalk cafe's and restaurants a few steps away from the hotel.

Excellent locationPosted Jul 19, 2014
A real find. Great location, helpful staff who when asked, swapped our small dark room for a better one on a higher floor. Fantastic views from American bar.
