Close to Spanish stepsPosted May 31, 2014
Room 35 they have us was terrible, we were then given 53 which was much better. Not worth the €190 though.

Great Location for the Good Value hotelPosted May 28, 2014
Pros: Stunning building inside with good original features. Wide stairs and grand mirrors. staff were very accommodating to allow us to borrow a cork screw
Cons: The decor is a little tired and it could do with a lick of paint. Breakfash bacon was a little greasy but overall a good selection.
Location: Spanish steps, Via Condotti, Borghese Gardens all within a 10 miute walk. Location excellent and close to 2 Metro stations
This hotel is located at the top of the Spanish Steps and is a fantastic location. It is situated within walkign distance from all the main rome sites. A 2 minute walk from Via condotti and other world class shops. Stunning views from the roof terrace Considering the other International naed hotels on this street, this hotel was very good value for money

Good central locationPosted Apr 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Good location for sightseeing, close to Spanish Steps and short walk to other key attractions, basic room amenities, had booked double room but given twin, good breakfast selection, helpful staff. We had room at front of hotel which was noisy, would have been better to request room at rear of hotel.

NOT a 4 Star hotel, not even 3 starPosted Apr 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Location and neighborhood are great. Hotel itself was not so great. Wall molding in room was very dusty (eye level, hard to miss if one is really cleaning). Bathroom walls were dirty with mold. Bath/Shower leaked and the solution from housekeeping was to put bath towels on the floor around the tub. Front desk staff in the morning was very unfriendly; evening staff very friendly and helpful. Won't ever stay here again.

Good location & good price.Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: The best thing about this hotel was the location for the price. Also, the bathrooms seem to have been recently updated.
Cons: The rooms need update. The carpet in the room was very worn and faded and the beds were a bit hard. The windows were old, so there was traffic noise.
Location: It was in a good location near the top of the Spanish steps and close to the tram station. Although, a hotel near Repubblica may be a better choice.
The hotel is near the top of the Spanish steps which is a pretty good location. The staff was polite and courteous and most of them new English fairly well. I'd recommend this hotel, for people traveling on a budget that don't need a lot of amenities, but want to be in a good location. The hotel definitely needs updating. It could be a great hotel, if they put some money into renovations. Also, the small bar area never opened while we were there (early November). Not about the hotel, but make sure you find the elevator at the top of the Spanish steps down to the tram station. It will save you a lot of stair climbing.

I will try another one next timePosted Apr 1, 2014
Very good location. The staff, some of them were kind, but not all of them. When we arrive they were working on the hotel, so it was smelling and it had no water for getting a shower some hours of the day. They fixed the water and smell problem after a while. Breakfast was a little boring because the lack of variety. The bathroom was nice, but the room was small, (with a poor bed). The best thing of the hotel is the location per sure!

Great location at the top ofSpanish StepsPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: See above
Cons: Availability of English Tv channel
Location: Near the Bone church on Via Venito. Cappuccino monks display of murals made of their dearly departed brothers.......a site not to be missed.
We've stayed here about 6 or more times. We choose it because of location at a reasonable price and it is in walking distance of Via Venito, Piazza de Popolo and Trevi Fountain and many other interesting sites. There are many cafes and bistros and mega shops .

Super Great Value & LocationPosted Nov 16, 2013
Pros: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION and definitely VALUE! I liked just about everything. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Larger showers (way too small), really small elevators; maximum two passengers without luggage..
Location: EVERTHING in Rome is close by
Overall a great place to stay... In the middle of all the "happenings" in Rome, just a few steps from the Spanish Embassy and the Spanish Steps. The hotel is vey old dating back to the 17th century. It is said that a Pope (?) directed the hotel be built to house the Spanish Embassy visitors. Also just down the "Steps" to Rome's "Rodeo Drive"... so take plenty of money. We priced the two hotels just a few feet from our front door--5 star properties, both of them and priced at almost THREE times what we were paying. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance; all ranges from pizza joints to fine dinning and everything in between. We tried most all of them and did not have a bad meal in any of them although a bit overpriced (medium pizza @ $24.00 US dollars) by U.S. standards. Good breakfast offerings; fresh fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs, shaved ham, juice, pastries--the best European breakfasts we experienced.
