Well placed within walking distance of main sitesPosted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Very convenient for all the major sites. Loads of restaurants and bars around for sustenance
Cons: The showers are minute. Enlarge them. The internet is useless, fix it.
Location: Very convenient; eat, drink, be merry
Great time, walked Rome flat from here. Plenty of bars and good restaurants, all pretty much the same price. Good area compared to more modern parts of Rome.

What a wonderful find!Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Location, friendliness of staff, cleanliness.
Cons: If, like us, you need a coffee or tea when you wake up,take a travel kettle as there are no facilities in the room.
Location: The location is superb, walking distance to the main sights and plenty of restaurants nearby, at reasonable prices too.
We wanted a base that was near to the sights, and we were so lucky to have found this hotel. Only 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum (maybe a bit less depending on your speed and the heat!) and with lot's of eating places nearby on Via Urbana for the evening, we don't think we could have found a better hotel for the money. We were kindly allowed to check in early by Cristiana who was utterly charming and we made our way to our room via the lift. OK, they aren't the biggest rooms, but we didn't intend to be in the room that long. Everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean and the bed linen was good quality. Considering breakfast is included in the price, the choice was excellent, and you can order freshly cooked scrambled eggs, and a variety of coffees if you so wish. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, you really were made to feel very welcome. When we go back to Rome(which we will do very soon!) we won't even look elsewhere for a hotel, we will book the Hotel Ivanhoe without hesitation.

A gem of a place to stay in the middle of RomePosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Really friendly and informative staff, everything very clean, good continental breakfast to set you up for the day.
Cons: The only thing that could be improved is to add a couple of English speaking TV channels, not everyone knows Italian.
Location: One stop on the metro from the central Termini. Off the tourist track and loads of local restaurants for an evening meal to give that Italian flavour.
A small hotel in the middle of Rome within easy reach of all the attractions and metro station. A very attractive location off the tourist routes and gives a good Italian experience. Loads of local restaurants within a few minutes walk, as well as a great little ice cream shop! A 10-15 minute walk to the Coliseum and many other attractions. I had never been to Rome before so didn't know what to expect, but this turned out to be a gem and if I ever go back to Rome I will be going back there again.

In the Heart of RomePosted Oct 5, 2014
While the rooms in this hotel can be small, they are comfortable. The mattresses are comfortable, the location is perfect with all of the main attractions within walking distance and restaurants, cafes and bars all surround the hotel. However, despite all of these big ticks, the one reason that should draw you to this hotel is the staff. They are warm, friendly, welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay the best possible. This is the first time that I have been to this hotel, but I will be sure to recommend this to all of my friends and come back again and again. Don't miss.

Hotel is situated close to Termini stationPosted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Location was close to Termini station and fairly easy to get too. Front desk service was helpful and reserved a taxi for me the following morning
Cons: Rooms were fairly small, but adequate. Shower was very tight and difficult to move around in. It was not comfortable. No English speaking channels.
Location: Quite a bit to do around; Coloseum and other attractions are within 10-15 minute walk as is main Rome metro station.
Location was close to Termini station and fairly easy to get too. Location is hidden behind a outdoor restaurant which made it a bit difficult to locate Front desk service was helpful and reserved a taxi for me the following morning which arrived as requested. Rooms were fairly small, but adequate. Shower was very tight and difficult to move around in. Although manageable, it was not comfortable. No English speaking channels (CNN, etc)

Great hotel in the middle of the actionPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The neighborhood and the excellent staff
Cons: Bathrooms and bedrooms are small. But then who goes to room to stay in their rooms? Go outside and see the city.
Location: Lots of little restaurants and bars (amazing pizza), shopping, all the historical sites
My daughter and I just spent a week at this small, clean and pleasant hotel. This hotel has the most wonderful and helpful staff (Christiana and the rest of the staff were amazing). Rooms and bathrooms are small but comfortable and in the best location. There is also a rooftop terrace to sit and relax in at the end of a busy walking tour day. We did not feel like tourists but more like we were living with the people in this quaint neighborhood. Everything was walking distance and we felt safe walking around. At night the area is a bustling place with little street restaurants, jazz bands playing, small bars welcoming you in. They even had breakfast daily. We would be happy to return there again.

Excellent service from staff.Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Would have been great if the bathrooms had a bath, however as the rooms were so compact, would wonder how they would fit a bath into the rooms.
Location: The forum and colesseum are close by. However the metro station is so close that one can get to anywhere . Nearby restaurants and bars were very good.
The room despite being very compact, was very clean and perfect in terms of price, facilities and location. Breakfasts were excellent! The roof terrace was a surprising discovery and wonderful to get away for a little bit of peace. The hotel is perfectly situated with a number of excellent restaurants and bars nearby, plus some heavenly icecream shops. If want to visit the colosseum or the forum, this hotel is ideal. Would use again.
