Little bit out of the way but nice placePosted Apr 14, 2014
Hotel was clean, staff were friendly. Overall a good experience. Rooms were a little smaller than expected (even by the "discount" hotel standards) particularly the bathroom, but still fine. One issue was finding the place as it's a little bit out of the way. Address seemed a little confusing too, though the cab I took new where it was. But generally a great place, enjoyed my stay there.

Compact hotel in great areaPosted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Staff, breakfast, terrace and the area it is in.
Cons: Larger shower/bathroom/toilet area
Location: The area is excellent, convinent for attactions (colosseum etc) plenty of bars & restaurants, metrebus 2mins.
The Ivanhoe hotel is a good compact hotel with everything you need for a 2-3 day stay in Rome. The staff are freindly and helpful and the breakfast is good, just what you need to start the day. The roof terrace is great for a relaxed drink after a long walking day around Rome. The rooms are ok all you want and very clean, but the bathroom in our room was very small and a challenge to to have a shower if not a laugh, but this did not stop our enjoyment of the Ivanhoe and we would recommend, but beware if your on the larger side

Nice place to stay.Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, near downtown, staff very nice, charming roof terrace.
Cons: improve service to the room on the presence of several days to change lenses, if stained sheets, towels when required, toilet paper reserve ...
Location: Near the Colosseum, Forum Roman, Palatin Mount by walk. Near many streets for shopping, restaurants, etc... Near Metro and Big Bus for see Roma attrac
Nice place to stay in Rome. Clean, comfortable and the staff is really nice and kind. There is also a handy lift for luggage and people in difficulty walking. The delicious breakfast every morning. Located near restaurants and stores in a typical Roman neighborhood. Also near the Colosseum and other attractions on foot. I would certainly return.

Rome Marathon 14Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Location, staff
Stayed here as my wife and I were running the marathon. The staff were fab and really friendly. The rooms are basic but clean. Ideal if you are going to be out and about all day. The location is A1. One hop away on the Metro from the Termini and one away from the Coliesum. Will book again next year. Plenty of reasonably priced places to eat nearby.

Great locationPosted Mar 22, 2014
I was in Rome on my own so I only wanted to stay somewhere that wasn't too expensive. The room is what you expect for what you pay, but very nice. Small, but nice. The hotel is in a fantastic location with the colosseum only a 5 minute walk and Ancient Rome a 10 minute walk away. It's close to a supermarket and anything else you may need. It's right near the Metro line and everything is in walking distance (if you don't mind walking for an hour or two to get over to the other side of town). There is a cafe right outside the hotel which can be very loud at times but for me that was no problem. Overall the hotel was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you don't want to pay too much for accommodation.

Convenient friendly hotelPosted Mar 18, 2014
Customer service was second to none with great suggestions and help with restaurants, booking a taxi back to the airport and providing us with a map and indicating the best places to visit. Free wifi and continental breakfast. So convenient for the best sights in Rome. Quiet hotel with reasonably priced and tasty restaurants nearby. Great place to base yourself to explore and walk all over Rome but also close to Cavour tube stop and Termini mainline train station. The only slight inconvenience is the tiny shower cubicle - it could just do with a little shelf to put your shampoo and shower gel on rather than contorting yourself to pick them up off the floor of the shower. All in all tho a great place to stay.
