“Delicious 5 star experience”

I chose to stay at the Lord Byron because it was tucked away from all of the craziness of Rome in August. The staff was 110% on top of everything. At every turn they were going above and beyond to be helpful. Everyone, and I mean the maintenance men and the housekeepers were smiling and helpful. It is a small boutique hotel but offers every service of the big hotels. I will say though that being removed from the mainstream of Rome was expensive. Everywhere we went was a minimum $10 ride each way. Walking really wasn't an option because of the distance (not to mention the cluster it is to get around Rome to start with). I was traveling with my 2 daughters, (21 and 13) and was comfortable with the room size, and the way that we were treated at all times.

“great service next to park”

This is a fantastic small hotel with great service. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was also first rate. This is a quiet place so don't go expecting a lively bar scene. We also went to the sister hotel in Florence which was first rate also. We will definitely go back.

“Absolutely catered to our needs”

Not only did the employees treat us well upon our arrival, their exemplary customer service was on display at all hours of the day from the Hotel Manager to the Room Service employees. This hotel treated my wife and I as though we were royalty. The staff was very informative and provided us with all the information we needed during our daily trips to the city.

“A Hidden Gem”

The Lord Byron Hotel is a wonderful mansion carefully looked after by its owner, a French Art Deco expert. Original art deco paintings hang on the walls and beautiful art deco furniture transports you back to decades past. Situated in a quiet neighborhood full of fancy houses and beautiful embassies, the hotel is also very close to the beautiful parks of the Villa Borghese and the National Gallery of Modern Art. Although it is slightly out of range of most popular tourist sites, it is a beautiful, short (approx. 15 minute) walk to the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. It's location, although slightly out of the way, has its benefits however. The quiet neighborhood ensures a relaxing stay, the beautiful landscaping is pleasing to the eye. Plus, the water pressure in the showers is incredible! The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the hotel staff is always happy, helpful and welcoming. You can tell that this small hotel is extremely cared for by it seemingly live-in owner who treats this hotel very much as one would treat their home. Family pictures and adorn the bookshelves, which also boast a wide personal library. Best of all, the owner is always around in his perfect grey suit, ensuring that all his guests are comfortable, cared for and happy. I personally know where I'll be staying next time I'm in Rome again.

“Wonderful hotel in a quite location”

The Lord Byron is a beautiful hotel located in an "off the beaten path" park setting. The rooms are a decorated a bit too modern for my personal taste, but very well appointed. The staff is very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again myself.

“A Good Hotel”

This is a really nice hotel. Number one plus: It's quiet. Don't be disturbed by the location on the far side of the Borghese Park. It is steps away from the Italian National Modern Art Museum (worth a see, by the way, the only non-crowded museum we went to in Italy and a beautiful collection gorgeously housed)and at most a 15-minute walk through the park to the Piazza del Popolo, a major square/gathering place near lots of shopping and food choices. The hotel didn't have the comfiest beds ever, but everything else was very well done. Lovely art deco themed decor, really good restaurant (hugely expensive, as was everywhere), very nice service. The bathrooms are really nice. It's a relaxing, intimate place. They have different sized rooms so investigate according to your needs before booking. We had small rooms, but we had smaller elsewhere during our stay. They are well laid out. One drawback, the TV service--no CNN. A lot of Brits apparently frequent the place so English language offerings on TV were from the UK. But who's watching TV? A good place.

“We cannot wait to go back”

Beautiful villa in a splendid Roman location. All the staff, but especially that at the front desk, is very helpful, and the Restaurant offers both a delicious breakfast buffett and a superb dinner menu.

“Quiet Hotel Just North of the heart of Rome's Attractions”

Great little boutique hotel in North Rome. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great rooms, nice breakfast, cozy bar. Only negative is also one of the hotel's positives, namely it is about 10 minutes by taxi from the Spanish Steps in Bourghese Park. The location means you need taxis to see the sights (7 Euros to get to the Spanish Steps) but it also allows you to retreat to a quiet, elegant hotel in a very nice neighborhood. Don't miss lunch or dinner at the Modern Art Museum's Cafe, which is a short walk from the hotel. Great outdoor dining with excellent food.
