front desk employees poorly trained, not friendly

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Front desk employees must lose their superior approach; major refurbishing is must!
Location: all major highlights of Rome are in a walking distance.
Front desk employees act like they are doing you a favor. General approach - I am smarter than you are is silly and unbecoming for so called 5 star hotel. Location is great, can walk everywhere. The food is very average. The hotel was grand at some point but clearly has no money at the moment; in need for a major refurbishing. The bar and the bartenders are quite professional, especially Emanuel. Made my husband and myself feel at home.

Gutes Hotel in hervorragender Lage

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Hop-on/Hop-off-Busse, U-Bahnstation, zahlreiche Restaurants... in direkter Umgebung, ca. 45min Fahrt zum Flughafen.

Posted Jun 15, 2015

Upmarket Hotel near the sights & sites

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: The Majestic is a clean, well run, comfortable hotel. You get a complimentary fruit basket and water but no biscuits/tea/coffee.
Cons: Breakfast at 30 euros was a bit over priced but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. There are no kettles/tea/coffee making facilities.
Location: The hotel is a minute away from the Piazza Barberini and metro station and numerous restaurants.
The Hotel Majestic is an upmarket, medium sized hotel near the Piazza Barberini and Barberini metro station. It's an easy walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. But beware even the legal taxis who are happy to charge you whatever they think they can get away with!

Concierge recommendations were hit-or-miss. Tried to be helpful but weren't overly knowledgeable. Decent location.

Nice hotel with a great bar/lounge area

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: Location, bar/lounge area
Location: Pretty convenient to walk most places and Metro Station down the street.
The Location is pretty good. Relatively short Walking distance from most Areas and Close Metro Station. The hotel has a great, large bar/Lounge Area with inside and outside seating. The workout facilities are minimal and there is no Sauna. The room was pretty small but, then again, I didn't spend much time in it. Also, it was a pretty slow check-in process.

Nice hotel near Spanish Steps

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Staff is very attentive. Check-in clerk walked us to our room. Bellhop delivered our luggage shortly thereafter. Drapes and shades drawn before dark.
Location: Spanish Steps, restaurants, Hardrock Cafe (we didn't go there, but within a few steps), Villa Borghese, shopping, US Embassy.
Older hotel centrally located between Roma Termini (train station), Villa Borghese park, Spanish Steps, and near US Embassy. Staff was attentive, spoke English well, and generally helpful.

Lovely hotel on the Via Veneto

Posted May 8, 2015
Pros: Beautiful décor in the rooms. excellent maid service, Comfortable beds. Great location
Cons: A less expensive American Breakfast alternative.
Location: The Via Veneto is a lovely place. Metro close by. Excellent restaurant choices nearby
This hotel is lovely. Our room which overlooked the Via Veneto was spacious and beautifully appointed with very high ceilings and beautiful moldings and window covers. The bed was very comfortable and the maid staff were exceptional. The restaurant was very pricey ranging from $60 per couple for breakfast to $80 if you wanted breakfast room service. We opted to eat more causally and at less cost. The hotel provides free wifi and internet which was nice. The door persons were very helpful and pleasant arranging cabs in an instant when ever we wanted one. I was not impressed with the concierge service. My wife wanted to buy a bottle of milk and we asked where a grocery store was located but the concierge was unable to tell us of one. There actually is a small store around the corner to the hotel. There is a terrific sidewalk café, Alex café, 2 minutes down the street.

Well positioned, fabulous 5 Star Hotel

Posted May 5, 2015
Location: The Spanish Steps are 5 minutes walk away and the Trevi fountain probably about 10. Rome is a very 'walkable' city if you want to see the main attract
Great location, only downside is that you are on a main road, so if you have a room overlooking the Via Veneto you may get some traffic noise. Saying that, the room was a decent size for Rome, the bathroom too although the grout around the bath could have done with being tidied up. The hotel has a lovely old style with high ceilings and ornate decor. The staff were fabulous, from being met at the taxi, being checked in, shown to our room, bar staff - all friendly, courteous and efficient. Loved our stay here and would certainly stay again.
