It was just perfect. Well located in the old Roma. Excellent breakfast. Hotel staff attentive and polite. Would definitively return if we go back to Rome.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location.Posted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: Service and location. November is a great time to visit Rome not to hot & just enough people to keep it interesting.
Cons: I found the room to warm at night, great beds but a really warm dooma, to warm.
Location: Every thing, all the main sights were within walking distance and the ground was flat, the cobble stones were a little rough, but it a very old city,
From the time we arrived the greeting and service was excellent, staff were very professional, The hotels location was perfect right at the Piazza Novona, 5 mins to the Panthanon, 10 mins to the the Trevi Fountain & walking distance to the Vatican City. Our room was small but perfectly formed. We were there in November 2013 and My only advise would be that the aircon be turned down a light, as it was a little warm at night. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a great selection, also the are lots of wonderful restaurants around. Expensive, yes but given the above value for money. Thank you to all the staff, we had a wonderful time in Rome.

PerfectoPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: The rooms, the service, the free breakfast
Cons: Matresses were a little hard on the back.
Location: Amazingly close to Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Campo di Fiori, Capital, as well as being right next to Piazza Navonna.
My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in Rome, and we chose to stay at Hotel Raphael for the week. The staff greeted us and offered us drinks the minute we walked in the door. Our luggae was taken to our room, and plus, we were upgraded when we told them it was our honeymoon! The suite was spectacular, and the housekeeping did a fantastic job, Turndown service included chocolates every night, and two bottles of water (frizzante and naturale) were replaced in the room every day. The free morning breakfast was delicious and service was great. We did not dine on the roof, mainly because we heard reservations were needed and we liked to plan our days very loosely. The location of our hotel was amazing. You are barely one block off of Piazza Navonna, which is three blocks north of Campo di Fiori. We also walked to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and the Capital. This hotel made our honeymoon perfect!

Exceptional boutique hotel near Piazza NavonaPosted Oct 30, 2013
Cons: Vegetarian hotel restaurant on the roof terrace is lovely but the is food unexceptional and very expensive. Recommend coming here for a drink only
Staying at the Raphael makes visiting Rome even more wonderful - the location could not be better for walking to most important sights, but the position on a small charming side street just off Piazza Navona and steps from the Pantheon means that every foray from the hotel will put you right into picture-postcard street-side cafe Roman life. The hotel itself is lovely, in an historical building and service is great. The rooms are quite small, but very well appointed, with marble bathrooms and rain showers, and comfortable mattresses with high end bedding. Breakfast is lavish, with fresh orange juice and a variety of hot entrees. I stayed six nights and wished it could have been more - the feeling is of being a guest at a marvelous private home in the ancient center of the city.

Location Location LocationPosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: The rooftop bar and location.
Cons: Some of the rooms should not be offered as doubles. Singles maybe.
Location: Right near the plaza Navoa. Could not ask for a better location. Near all the sights and restaurants.
Spent two nights here. Great location. Staff very accommodating and welcoming. The first room they gave us was the size of a closet. Told the front desk we were unhappy and they switched us to a larger room immediately. It was a great upgrade and the staff helped move everything quickly. Rooms are very clean and functional but a bit dated. Complimentary breakfast was great. Bell staff and rooftop cocktail staff were great. Location could not be better. Overall a very good experience.

outstanding hotel in the centre of RomePosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: The location. The outstanding staff. The excellent rooms. The great breakfast and superb dinner on the rooftop.
Location: great location in the centre of Rome
The hotel is in an ideal location in the centre of Rome, near Piazza Navona. This is a beautiful hotel, inside and out. The staff are outstanding; very accommodating, friendly, helpful. The rooms are outstanding in terms of space, décor, amenities. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of premium products. Dinner on the rooftop was an experience to be remembered. Overall, this is an outstanding hotel, with excellent service. It is in keeping with the standards set by Relais et Chateaux.

Old charm, modern amenitiesPosted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place is walking distance from everything you need to see in Rome. It's right off of Piazza Navona. The service is immaculate and the rooms are clean, decorated in the old style, but with modern luxuries above and beyond basic hotels.
