Good stay herePosted Jul 12, 2014
Our apartment was very clean with fresh white towels each day. Apartment was cleaned every day. Bathroom was a bit awkward insofar as could not stand up to have a shower due to sloping ceiling. We managed however. Lots of hot water. Kitchen was a bit basic and would not have tried to prepare a meal but fridge was handy for chilling water and storing food for breakfast. Staff were helpful when required. Vatican city and metro about 15 min walk. Area felt safe even when walking back to apartment at 11 pm. The villa is on a hill but got used to the walk by the third day. Would stay again if visiting Rome.

Nice basic hotel, very nice peoplePosted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Francesco was amazing. The rooms are lovely and clean. Good location for Vatican in particular and the metro and also for good food and supermarkets.
Cons: Bed was a bit hard, but that was okay for3 nights. Also you have to go uphill from the sites to the hotel after a long day, be prepared for long walks
Location: Near Vatican city, the museums and St Peters Square. Quite a safe residential area. 10 min walk to Cipro station on line A to get to other sites.
I stayed at this hotel just last week with my boyfriend and it was a really nice stay. We were just on a short city break to try and see all the important sites (Vatican, colosseum etc.). The hotel was good which made the stay more relaxing and Francesco, one of the owners, was extremely helpful. His map was invaluable and if he recommends his friend Fransecos restaurant, you must go! The waitress speaks English, saving me phrasebook embarrassment, the food and service are lovely and a complimentary shot of limoncello was much appreciated. All in all a great experience, particularly for couples and students. Extremely good value for money.

Friendly staffPosted Jun 20, 2014
While I feel like Italians are not necessarily friendly and could actually come off as rude, the staff here was very friendly and helpful. The guy in charge of the desk was very polite, gave us a map and explain to us how to get around by public transportation which saved us a lot of cash. Highly recommend this hotel, clean and comfortable bedrooms, excellent for its price.

Holiday in RomePosted Jun 17, 2014
Hotel was nice, room was clear and nice. Also we had terrace where we spent couple of evenings. Nice place indeed. However a little far from the centre and in ten minutes work from underground station, but near large supermarket and in quiet place. Good place.

It was okPosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The fridge! The size of the room was good.
Cons: Fix the air conditioning and the burners on the little stove.
Location: Beware, most local restaurants don't open until 7:30. Try La Sagra del Vino di Rovazzani Valentino for local cuisine- owners are very friendly!
The hotel is just up the hill from Vatican city in a more local area, which has up things and down things about it. On the plus side, it is quiet and you didn't have hustlers trying to sell you everything under the sun the moment you step out of the building. But it does take a bit longer to get to any other major site in Rome. The room came with a small kitchette set, but the burners didn't actually heat up enough to boil water so we couldn't make full use of it really. The fridge is a good asset, especially the freezer. The bed wasn't comfortable at all however, and I felt like I was half falling off every night. The bathroom was new and sparkling clean, but the shower is a bit awkward (no curtains or anything and the water gets everywhere). There is a lift. The staff were polite.

The hotel was okPosted Jun 8, 2014
Cons: The hotel needs to be redecorated interiorly
The interior of the hotel is a bit old but it was really clean and the staff was really nice. The location is about 30 minutes from the Vatican and there is a bus opposite from the hotel that goes to the Vatican. The hotel is also just about 10 mins walk away from the metro line A which can take you to the centre of Rome.

Residence Villa TassoniPosted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: Clean, tidy, close to supermarket, kitchenette great for making meals, wi-fi great, staff helpful, 2 rooms a big plus (spacious).
Cons: Hardly any cutley in the kitchen...mismatched crockery. Shower leaked all over floor. So basic maintenance in appartment could be improved.
Location: About 20 minutes walk to the Vatican museum and 40 to St. Peter's square. 10 minute walk to Metro. Location OK actually...residential area, quiet.
This place grew on us...it was a 10 minute walk to the metro, so quiet. Great supermarket just down the road...almost like a deli. Appartment well cleaned every day. Kitchenette was like a broom cupboard, but we could do basic cooking in the evenings, which was great and also make coffee, cereal etc. for breakfast. The wi-fi in the room was really good too, so that made a difference, since TV is all local Italian stuff.

Needs a little refresh.Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Close to the vatican, good place to eat and a supermarket. Bus stop and metro not too far away.
Cons: Needs a little paint in the rooms and a refresh.
Location: The Vatican is about .7 of a mile away. The metro is close by and its easy to get to everything.
This hotel is close to the Vatican, just go out the lobby door and turn left and you soon see the dome. The staff was nice. About a 50 euro ride from the airport. The room was OK, could use a refresh. A little paint and attention and it would be a 5. I would stay again.

Villa TassoniPosted Apr 2, 2014
Cons: Our hotel room did not have a shower door or a shower curtain, so our bathroom was drenched every time we showered...
Location: Vatican is really close by, as well as the metro so that you can see any sights in Rome that you can access through the metro.
Wonderful stay & excellent staff. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.
