Apart for the location, nothing fantastic

The location is good as it is very near the metro station. because hotel is located in a pretty old building, when you enter the building, it gives off the mouldy smell. Bathroom is quite okay, except for the lighting, which is VERY dim! I don't know about others, but I prefer the bathroom to be bright. the bathroom in this hotel is way toooooo dark. Hotel room itself i would find it pretty spacious, but furniture is very dusty... bed and pillows are quite comfortable. BUT, whenever we enter the room, there is a very unpleasant smell, like urination smell, those kind of smell you would smell if you been to stations in Europe countries like London, Paris & etc (if you know what I mean). We did ask the reception to spray some air-freshener when we first enter the room, but that unpleasant smell continue to linger around, so we suspect it might the the air-conditioning problem. So, unless you are okay with the lighting and smell, I would not really recommend this hotel.

Excellent location, by the Metro

The room was very clean. The staff was helpful. Having your own bath in your room is great. The room is very small compared to rooms in the US. But for Europe, the room size was fine. Also, we only slept in the room, so we had no need for a lot of space to hang out. The hotel is located 150 feet from the Metro. The hotel is on the second floor of the building, and there are no signs telling you how to get there. But once you find the hotel, everything is great.

Decent

The location was convenient, but the leaking toilet and inconsistent hot water brought the quality down for me. The staff was helpful, but sometimes it took them awhile to answer the front door.

Close to TerminiTrain Station and Metro

Posted Jun 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Main reason I stayed in this hotel is its convenient location, the Vittorio Emanuele Metro Station is just a 100 yards from the hotel entrance and 1 Metro station ride form Termini train station. The hotel itself has a relatively modern/new interior, but could still use some maintenance. The faucet in the bathroom sink was loose, the water only drained very slowly (clogged sink). The shower enclosure did not seal properly, with the result that part of the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower. Bathroom also had sewer smell, which the hotel tried to cover up with an air freshener. Probably a missing Plumber's U that prevents sewer gases from coming back up the pipe. Otherwise the room was clean and in good condition. Neighborhood is multi-cultural, right around the corner is a cafe, a fastfood joint (Kathmandu, serves Kebab, Indian curry, Chinese Chow Mein) and a Italian Pizzeria/Ristorante. All of those serve good quality food at way better prices than what you pay in the city close to tourist spots. There is also a little supermarket right around the corner where you can get beverages at very reasonable prices. So the location is excellent as a basis for visiting Rome, the hotel itself average.
