Great hotel in fantastic area of Rome

Posted Aug 8, 2014
This is a fantastic hotel in a lovely area of Rome that does not appear to be as touristy as other parts. The room was bigger than expected and so too was the breakfast. If you don't mind walking then the hotel is in easy reach of all the attractions, plus very easy to get to from the train station on the number 75 bus. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliantly situated hotel in Rome

Posted Aug 4, 2014
This hotel is in the Trastevere district with dozens of bars and restaurants on the doorstep (although the hotel itself is on a very peaceful side street). The rooms though small, were perfect - mini fridge, clean towels every day, well appointed bathroom. Staff on desk extremely helpful and charming; though don't accept advice about taking the tram - there aren't any! Would happily recommend this great little hotel to anyone.

Good value hotel

Posted Jul 15, 2014
We were very happy with our choice of hotel. It was 3 star - so a bit of a lottery. But it was excellent. No bad comments to make - perhaps the small size of the room - but then again, we didn't exactly spend much time in the room anyway. Breakfast excellent.

Stayed several times!

Pros: Great breakfast, location, location! Extremely generous and hospitable staff!
Cons: Air condition in summer. Too week. They should try to fix that. Otherwise all else is superb.
Location: This hotel is where it's at: Trastevere, the heart of Rome!
I have already stayed several time sin the hotel. It is a great bargain, a jewel in the heart of Trastevere.

Week in Rome - Jun/Jul 2014

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere on rooftop bar. Cleanliness of room and all areas of hotel. Its location in the Trastavere area is tops!
Cons: If the hotel had designated bathroom with shower facilities for late check out, (especially in summer) that would be great!
Location: The Trastavere district is alive with restaurants and shops. We ate some great meals at various little places close to and East of the hotel.
Have just returned home after a week staying at Hotel San Francesco and both my wife and I found this hotel be a great place to stay. It was recommended by a colleague but, I had found it independently prior to the friend's recommendation - which did help to make the decision - by merely confirming our thoughts. On arrival the concierge on duty quickly processed us into our room and gave us information on how to get into Rome centre and advised us of the hotel service options, breakfast and roof-top bar. Being non-Italian speakers we found all concierge's on duty had excellent English and were all readily helpful to us no matter the question. Overall the hotel was spotless and clean in all areas we used. Our room was immaculate on arrival and stayed that way throughout the week with Housekeeping each day refreshing bathroom and linen as needed. Our room was a corner room and had windows in both bedroom and bathroom area. The windows are shuttered which, in summer, was a god thing as the room did get hot if shutters were left open. Housekeeping closed them when servicing the room, which was a great thing! Breakfasts were a continental style with a good selection of basic cereals - muesli, cornflakes, rice bubbles, various fruits, rock melon, orange, pastries, croissants, tea and coffee and bread. Along with assorted spreads and butter. Overall not a bad selection. Overall a great hotel and worth staying at for short or long stays.

Small quiet hotel, helpful staff, good value.

Couple: stayed for two nights. Room small, but clean & comfortable. Good en suite. Air con excellent. Relaxing roof terrace and bar offers good views at night. Staff very helpful, breakfast was included, there was limited choice but decent quality and value. Would stay again, in both hotel and Trastavere district as easy walking distance to prime attractions.

Quiet and Relaxing

Pros: The morning breakfast buffet was small, but was included in the price and we found it a great start to the day.
Location: The location is as good as you can get, away from the Traps, and close to Trestavere , small streets, small restaurants, great dining.
Great little Hotel, very friendly staff, great quiet location in the Trestavere area. Modest accommodations ,yet very clean and well kept. Located just 1 block from the tram service, which can take you in 10 minutes to all the attractions. Walking at night to the best dining at very affordable prices , not tourist traps. Will go back again.

Great Hotel in Trastevere

Posted May 27, 2014
Friendly owner. Great ambience. District feels genuine Italian and comfortably far from the classic tourist places but near enough to visit. Enjoyed wandering down the back streets. Can recommend Da Brunos and da Benito restaurants nearby. Authentic Roman food with veggie options and hardly a tourist in sight!
