“Rome”

Very convenient to the train, bus and Vatican. Friendly staff and clean accomodations. If on train from the port get off at Vatican stop and the hotel is one block from the train.

“Great location!!!!”

Hotel is very close to the Vatican City 5 minutes walking), Chaffour Express Super Market (Exiting to the left, just a couple feet walking), and is in front of the bus stop. They do not have an elevator, but a lady of the hotel brought our luggage to our room. The same happened when we left the hotel. We voluntary gave a tip. I did not like they changed the sheets when asked the first time. I guess they do it every four days and seemed did not change the blanket for the whole stay of 18 days. The bathroom floor seemed to be cleaned every third day. They did not leave enough shampoos and had to ask most of the time for shampoos for all of us (4). Rooms do not have fridges and they were nice to us and gave us ice when asked. . Breakfast buffet is good, but exactly the same food every single day turned it to hate it. Staff very helpful and nice, two spoke English and one Spanish fluently. Bad experience when the receptionist S called an unauthorized taxi cab to take us to the airport. He didn't have a taxi meter and a permit, He overcharged us for taking us to the airport. When confronted over the phone she was loud and not polite. I think hotels in Europe are much over paid compared to the U.S.

“Good location!”

Within walking distance from Vatican City which was the main purpose of our visit. Breakfast was rather bland and same thing every day with tasteless coffee! I also had a big issue with the hotel and their lack of wifi internet access. When i checked in, i was told that they don't have any kind of wifi available - i mean seriously, in this day and age?!? I was also informed that if i needed access i would be able to use one at the desk. However, when i went to check my flight information, i was told that i am not allowed to use their computers!

“Could've been better...”

No A/C, No elevator, No wifi, breakfast not good selection, but great location easy access to bus stop and within walking distance to the Vatican. Restaurant not associated with hotel but directly in front was great! Hotel felt safe.

“Ok, but not great”

If we hadn't spent extra money on this room (anticipating a nice one) I would have been pleased with this room. The room was perfectly nice, but was not up to par with other European hotels we stayed in and spent far less for. I think if you are visiting Rome this may just be the norm. The room was air conditioned, but all the furniture was very old, and not nice antique furniture. The breakfast was not much to write home about either. If you want to stay near the Vatican this is an 'ok' hotel, but not great for the price.
