Pros: location and staff and very homely
Amazing trip and hotel was great. Staff very friendly and we loved the terrace with the orange trees. You must book a taxi as otherwise the hotel is difficulty to find as its tucked away.

Lovely spot in Trastevere.

Booked this hotel on the Recommendation of friends. It's a lovely spot with a beautiful courtyard. Very easy walking distance to all the major sites. The hotel staff couldn't do enough to assure our comfort, including putting together a take away breakfast on the morning we had an early pickup. We had the top floor room and the ceiling was slightly low for my 6'3" husband. We would stay there again in a heartbeat, but would request a different room to accommodate his height. A charming and welcoming hotel in a wonderful neighborhood.

Charming hotel in Trastevere, Rome

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Hotel was a cloister centuries ago. It has orange trees in the courtyard.
Cons: Night staff was not that welcoming. The hair dryers are minimal.
Location: The hotel is near lots of restaurants and night life. Also a short walk to an open market with fresh fruit, dried pasta, and other goods.
My room was large and in a quiet part of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well-equipped with lots of toiletries and slippers (to keep feet warm from the tile floors). The breakfast buffet included scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, various meats and cheeses, three types of cakes, croissants, Italian bread (and a toaster), juices, bananas, tangerines, and yogurts. Great cappuccino and espresso. Plenty to eat for a solid brunch. It is quaint and isolated within a pedestrian area where taxis can't really go on weekend evenings (since there's so much activity) but that is when I arrived. I had to walk several blocks from where the taxi left me dragging my suitcase on cobblestones. This was disconcerting. Plus the taxi overcharged me taking me there from Termini Station. I think the hotel should warn visitors and tell us where the taxi should drop us off and give specific directions from there. If you have a bad sense of direction, this is not the place to stay. If you want the taxi to take you right to the hotel, don't arrive on Friday or Saturday night.

Pros: Position, staff,decor
Location: 30 minute walk to the Colusseam - this is a nice walk as there is so much to see on the way. 20 minute walk to Vatican City
Just arrived back from a 3 day stay. What a gem this hotel is. Beautiful court yards with orange trees to sit and relax in. Staff really helpful and friendly. We stayed in a triple room (16) plenty of space for us all and five steps from the door was a court yard to sit in. Fridge provided in room, beds really comfy. Breakfast - plenty to eat, help yourself buffet, never ending cups of coffee!

Amazing!

Posted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: I hope they don't change a thing, because it was perfect as is.
This was such a great hotel. I did quite a bit of research before booking and it was everything that I expected. We would most definitely stay here again. You really can't beat the location and the value. The happy hour every afternoon is awesome. All included in the room rate (Except for alcohol). Cheeses, Salami, Pepperoni Pastries, Bruschetta etc. You can tour the city, come back to the hotel for snacking and off you go again. The complimentary breakfast is just as great. Eggs, Fresh baked pies, Croissants, Jellies, Fresh Orange Juice, Meats etc. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were kept up nice and are very cozy and romantic. Trastevere is a great neighborhood. Nothing like it in Rome. It seems to be the hip place to be at. Hope this helps. Take it from me, this place is a gem.
