Good location to terminal

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Location, a variety of resturants within the block, the trains, metro and buses on doorstep.
Cons: General repair, hairdryer needed to work, shower head was propped up, no holder!!! Look at proper air conditioning although this would put up price.
Location: Lots, if you like walking, colleseum, Trevi fountain, archa de toto to name just a few. We also took metro and bus to catacombs and vatican city.
Good loation, clean however overlooked alleyway above the resturants as on first floor. Smell from food not good and were kept awake by sound of knieves and forks etc being put away. Hot in room and dark due to location although they did have very noisy air conditioner in. Beds were not static beds so were slighly uncomfotable. In saying all this, i would stay again but not for 5 nights!! Rome is a fantastic city and if hairdryer worked and shower head in place. Proper beds would make all the difference to comfort.

Handy but not super

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Location and shower
Cons: Toilet and wifi.
Location: Right by termini so great if you travelled by train.
Don't bother getting the wifi - it's absolutely useless; the toilet didn't flush properly either. People tend to congregate out he front and have loud chats but that's italy for you, really. However, good for a home base if you just spend the day sightseeing and going out. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good.

Pros: Proximity to Termini Station
Cons: The grumpy man who welcomed/greeted us!
A very basic hotel - not for the fussy traveller! If you just want somewhere to rest your head in basic comfort and surroundings then it's fine. If it's splendour you're looking for, then go elsewhere.

Would definitely return!

Posted Feb 16, 2012
Pros: Friendly and convenient
Location: Perfect for getting around Rome
Great location for a shightseeing or short stay, right near the station; friendly and helpful staff (even phoned for our cab for the return to the airport as my Italian is non-existant!). Cleaned with fresh towels daily, breakfast is the typical continental pastry and coffee at an equally friendly, although mightily busy cafe about 20 yards away. Can also recommend the restaurant just next door!

What you pay for is what you get. However, the staff are very friendly and checked us in early, the room was clean and most importantly great location, 2 minute walk from the Termini station. If you want a really fancy room, dont stay here, but if you plan to be sight seeing all day, this is the place for you.

Do Not Make Reservation Here

This hotel is not recommended. While the location is convient, you have other choices in the area for similar prices that are safer and better selection for your hard-earned lodging dollars.

Hotel Soggiorno Blu

Posted Apr 9, 2011 on Hotels.com
Excellent location to Roma Termini, less than a 5 minute walk. Hotel was on second floor, the room was clean and adequate size however the bathroom was small. The shower was small but did the job. Not a typical American hotel but certainly more of the European standard for the smaller venues. Left luggage in the morning - returned late afternoon to check in. No Street noice however could here others in hotel at times. I feel we got what we paid for and the positive out-weighed the negative.

Good for Students on a Budget

Posted Nov 17, 2009 on Hotels.com
This hotel is literally a block away from Termini, which makes it a good place to be if you plan on travelling all throughout the city on bus and the metro. It's very cheap, so you can't really expect incredible amenities or services. When we checked in, they tried to hustle us into another hotel a block away, but we were firm and eventually they gave us a hotel in the Soggiorno Blu. Our room was located next to the check in desk, and you could hear people talking and walking in. Also, the people above us were very noisy. There's no view whatsoever, but for budget students that doesn't really matter. The bathroom is very small and the shower isn't separated from the toilet and sink, so if you plan on showering, everything gets extremely soaked (including the toilet paper). The beds are relatively comfortable, with clean sheets, but the duvet was dirty. The room as a whole was well lit and the floors were clean. However, there was some dust in the corners. The neighborhood is not a bad one, don't be deceived by the graffiti. It seemed to me that there were lots of other students staying in the hotel, I would definitely not recommend this for a nice family or romantic vacation, but it is comparable to a nice hostel.
