Class and comfort in RomePosted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: The staff, rooms, views and ambiance.
Location: Great location. Near Villa Bourghese. Not far from Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Via Veneto.
Everything about the hotel is first class, professional and designed for comfort. If my wife and I ever return to Rome, we would stay at Hotel Splendide Royal in a heartbeat.

Very nice hotel with an excellent locationPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Great bathrooms. Desk managers are very knowledgable and helpful. Location is great.
Cons: Last year they offered terrific egg whites breakfast.at buffet for people on a low fat diet. This tear it was not available without a la carte charge
Location: Close to Spanish Steps and also Via Veneto where there are fine restaurants. Centrally located.
Taken to room that had terrible odor. We were given another smaller room for 1 night , then put into the Superior room type that we signed up for. They compensated by not charging us for the internet use. Staff is very professional and at your service.

Don't book a suitePosted Oct 4, 2013
Location: Great location
We were disappointed when we were shown to our room which was supposed to be a suite. There were two rooms but the 2nd room was really no more than a hallway that led from the bedroom to the bathroom with an awkward couch thrown in and a TV. The room was located on the 3rd floor and was very dark - overlooking nothing but another building. We requested a change and were able to upgrade to a JR suite on a higher floor but we had to pay quite a bit more. The Jr suite was just one room but it was bright and we had 3 doors onto our own private terrace with a great view. The room explanations need to be better so you know what you are getting.

A very nice hotelPosted Sep 26, 2013
Location: The hotel is located next to a very large park. Many of Rome's attractions are within walking distance.
The hotel is conveniently located. There are many restaurants near by. A subway stop is an easy 10 minute walk from the hotel. Our room was excellent and the breakfast buffet was very good. However, the breakfast buffet is quite expensive unless it is include with your room. The hotel staff was very courteous and accommodating.
