Great area, great staff recommendations!Posted Jul 27, 2014
The hotel is close to so many things, and many many sights are within walking distance from the hotel, you will walk a lot in Rome! -two words: San Marco (restaurant) close to the hotel -the metro is the way to travel around the city for sure -Borghese gallery, pre book it, and go. Just amazing. -Buy your Vatican Museum tickets in advance and skip the 4 hour line! -This area has a lot of tourist trap restaurants (menu's that have lots of * beside the items, just get out quickly, the food will be terrible) -Food is very expensive in Rome if you are planning on sitting down somewhere for lunch or dinner (40 Euro for lunch, 60 Euro for dinner) -Mirabelle restaurant at the top of the hotel was the meal of our lives, but it was incredibly expensive. A world class meal at a world class restaurant, expect to pay around $500 for two to dine. -The staff at the hotel were awesome at all times, very high level of service, go to them with any questions, they will be happy to help.

The Splendid Splendide Royal!Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Re-furbished rooms and breakfast room. Friendly, efficient staff Location
Cons: Restaurant is extremely expensive
Location: Near top of Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Most of the major sites within Rome are within easy walking distance.
It was our second stay at this hotel in 3 years and we were not disappointed. The reception staff were polite and friendly with check in taking the grand total of about three minutes! Our deluxe room on 4th Floor was nicely furnished and very well decorated, clean and tidy with a view over the road and into Villa Borghese next door. We did think that the road may be a little noisy at night but not at all even with the windows open. We stayed on a B&B basis again and were very pleasantly surprised at the refurbishment of the breakfast room on 6th Floor. Last time we came it was looking a little tired and old fashioned but it is now nice and bright with a bit of an art deco theme going on. The Splendide Royal is ideally situated for Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and two very close metro stations which means seeing all the sites is easily achieved. We will be returning!

Loved this hotelPosted Jul 15, 2014
We couldn't of been happier here. The room was gorgeous and it was the basic room. The breakfast room and food was so elegant and had a view overlooking all of Rome. Great location. Loved everything.

Beautiful hotel close to Spanish stepsPosted Jul 11, 2014
Cons: Nothing. It was a perfect stay.
Location: Walking distance to Spanish steps and subway station that can take you to all Rome destinations. Villa Borghese park is also right across the street.
From the moment you enter there is staff there to welcome you. Your luggage is taken care of while you check in and the staff was friendly and helpful. My family enjoyed the included breakfast buffet the most. It was a large variety of hot and cold with sweet breads, fruit and cheese - something for everyone. The Mirabelle restaurant is pricey but such a treat to experience. The terrace overlooks Rome and the sunset is absolutely magical. I would stay here anytime.

Excellent boutique hotelPosted Jun 22, 2014
The hotel was excellent and perfectly located juts out of the main city center about 8 minute walk down to the Spanish steps. The hotel decoration and artwork are excellent and worth a pause to appreciate. Staff were very helpful in arranging tours and providing directions and suggesting and making reservations. The included breakfast was a an excellent feature with a view overlooking the city and Vatican in the background. The Mirabelle restaurant was excellent dining experience with outside dining and the same Rome and the Vatican view but very expensive.

Location: Very close to the Spanish Steps.
Located in a beautiful part of Rome, quiet location opposite the park. Very nice interior and a wonderful breakfast room over looking Rome centre.

Extraordinary stay in beautiful boutique hotelPosted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Liked everything, including accessability of internet in the lobby.
Cons: Can't think of anything that required improvement.
Stayed here after a walking tour of Tuscany. It was a Honeymoon stay (Second time around Senior Citizen honeymoon). It could not have been more convenient, luxurious, or romantic. Was within short walking distance (10 minutes) to The Spanish Steps and the Borghese Museum and Gardens, and within 40 minutes walking distance to almost all other major sites in Rome. We booked the room with the prepaid breakfast, which included all the delicacies one could possibly imagine from a 5 star establishment plus a spectacular view of the Borghese Gardens. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and there was no shortage of restaurants in the vicinity as recommended either by the hotel staff or by the usual tourist reference books. The cleaning staff had an almost sisth sense as to when to clean the room and it was always in meticulous condition. Overall a wonderful stay.
