“A real gem”

I normally don't review places I stay, however, this little gem deserves my highest recommendation.

“Beautiful, clean hotel with spacious rooms”

We just left Hotel Splendide Royal after spending eight nights there. The hotel is located on a hill by the Borghese gardens not far from the Spanish Steps. The hotel is a small luxury hotel that is decorated in a Florentine style with gold accents and large mirrors but it is not dark - light greens and golds. Our room was very spacious with two sitting chairs, a desk, tv with refrig, two twin beds, side tables, closet, and nice size bathroom with double sink and heated towel rack. The room and hotel was extremely clean. Each morning we enjoyed a full breakfast buffet. From the doorman, to the concierge, to the staff at the restaurant everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

“We'd Love to Stay Here Again!!”

This is a top-notch hotel in an classy area of Rome -- just off Via Veneto where there are great restaurants, across the street from Borghese Gardens where you must see the amazing Borghese Gallery, and within a quick walk of the Spanish Steps and world-class shopping. Our Superior room was small, with only a courtyard view, but the furnishings were opulent; the bathroom was amazing; the walk-in closet easily held our clothing and suitcases; the restaurant upstairs was totally upper crust (bring some nice evening wear!). One warning -- At check out, we were charged a city tax of approximately 7 euros/day (nearly 50 euros in our case). Even though you pay room charges with some taxes to Expedia at booking, you will still owe more! The front desk offered to orient us at check in. Take them up on it. Just a few pointers up front really simplified our first day in Rome. Enjoy!

Very luxurious hotel in a great location. I have stayed in hotels all over Italy and this is one of my favorites.

“Great Otel for everyone”

First of all all stuff ,especially receptionists are very helpfully and friendly.Breakfast is very good ,many kind of cheeses(I like very much cheese)and even there is champaign.You can see very nice panoramic Roma view.There is Michelin stars restaurant .I recommend everyone who want to spend nice time at Rome.

“Italy Adventure”

It was a wonderful surprise to check in to the Hotel Splendid after a long trip and get more than you expect. The service was wonderful and the room perfect. I travelled with my mother who is a retired executve from the hotel industry and very discerning. She wanted to move in to the Splendid forever. The rooftop restaurant has a spectacular view of Rome and the food and service was terrific. This is a first class property all the way and my hotel desintation whenever in Rome.

“A peaceful place in the city.”

The public spaces and the rooms were beautiful but still very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and ready to accommodate any requests and gave us great dinner suggestions.
