“Great location, very helpful staff, great free breakfast, lovely bathrooms, very comfortable beds”

We were very happy with this hotel. Rome is busy and it was nice to come home to a very quiet hotel and hotel room even though it's on a busy street in the heart of the best location in Rome. Ideal.

“Definitely stay here again!”

Great location very close to metro stop and Trevi Fountain - easy walk to Pantheon. Service was friendly and professional. Breakfast buffet was ample with good service. The room/bathroom, etc was well appointed, if "small" by American standards but totally adequate by European standards. Neighborhood was safe and quiet even though it is on a main street (Via Tritone) - I was there in March and slept with my windows open, a lovely cool breeze and no problem with outside noise. This is a fine little hotel.

“Great experience for 1st time in Rome.”

Beautiful, Cozy hotel. I am very happy with my decision in staying at Hotel Stendhal. I was a little nervous since this was my first time in Rome. I also was traveling alone. I felt very safe with the location of the hotel. Walking distance to the metro and the sites. I would return this Hotel and highly recommend to family and friends.

“Hotel Stendhal what a find”

This was a unique find. Blocks from the Fountain of Trevi and Spanish Steps, close to the Metro, Taxi and Hop on Hop off bus. The roome is small but very well decorated and comfortable. The bath area was all marble with a shower and 110 outlets. Staff was great and assisted with our every need. Breakfast was great and helped start the day. The hotel really help give the feel of our Rome stay not the average Marriot type hotel you get every day. I highly recommend staying here and will be back.

“Pleasant staff, comfortable room, good location”

Near a subway stop and many must-see sights (Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, etc.), this was a perfect locale for a first trip to Rome. Staff was very helpful, the breakfast buffet was exceedingly generous (eggs, yogurt, breads, cereals, cheeses) and the room rate was good for what's quite an expensive city all around. It's on a fairly busy street, so you'll hear some traffic noise into the night, but otherwise it's a very quiet hotel.

“Good location and value”

Hotel Stendhal was a great value. Fantastic location within walking distance to many sights, subway station, and Termini railway station. Yet sufficiently removed from the overly touristy pedestrian streets near Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Pleasant room, modern bathroom, clean and uncluttered hallways and lobby. Adequate breakfast.

“Great location on busy street”

Hotel service and comfort was great. Hotel room and shower stall quite small. Great location for walking to attractions and metro. It is located on a hectic street that is very noisy and busy - however the hotel is a quiet retreat from the street.

“Loved it”

Other than the desk clerk charging us for dry cleaning that did not belong to us, every thing was perfect. The staff was very friendly, the buffet breakfast was hearty, and the location is perfect. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and anyone traveling to Rome.

“small but comfortable hotel”

Very nice boutique hotel. The rooms were small, but well furnished and comfortable. Continental breakfast was served in the nicely decorated breakfast rooms/lounge area by the front desk. The staff were also helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be that on Sunday night we (3 of us) tried to get drinks at the bar in the hotel and waited for around 40 minutes. There was no bar tender that night and one of the bell boys eventually served us, but it was a long time in coming.
