Not the best experience but not the worst.Posted Aug 26, 2014
Hotel Torino has a great location for walking to the Colosseum and other touristy areas. It also has nearby cashpoints, pizzerias and mini marts. Apart from being very dated it wasn't too bad. The breakfast was lovely on a roof terrace, apart from the pigeons, a very peaceful start to your day. Our bathroom was very dated and needed some TLC. The seem that ran between the shower screen and the bath had completely worn away. This meant that each time we had a shower (twice a day as it was very hot) the bathroom completely flooded. After mopping up the flood water we asked for extra towels and despite the receptionist writing this down, we never received any. Despite this I would have recommended this hotel, however we were on the top floor which meant the restaurant was above us. We knew it was above because from about 7am we could hear chairs being shuffled around and doors being slammed (which shook our entire room). We stayed here for two nights and were woken up on both occasions by the goings on upstairs. As a one night stop over it would be perfectly suitable and the price wasn't too bad.

Very close to main railway station and hop on hopPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Proximity to public transport.
Cons: Air conditioners and bed very hard
Hotel only had one lift and we stayed on 6th floor with a few stairs to drag cases up. No porter so a bit difficult. Quite noisy air conditoners.breakfast ok with a balcony to sit out on which was quite nice. Duty Manager had strong body odour.

Cons: Employee attitudes
The desk clerk was not outgoing, friendly or helpful. He had the personality of a light switch. My room safe did not work. I asked for a different room and his reply that there is a lot of the safes in the rooms that do not work. So fix them then !!! I had to carry all my money, passport and IPad with me every time I left the hotel. My shower door seal leaked. By the time I finished showering, half the bathroom floor had standing water on it. The toilet seat was loose Very disappointing!

Perfect central hotelPosted Aug 20, 2014
Hotel Torino is located a 3 minute walk from the entrance to the Termini metro station and 5 minutes from the train station and main bus depot - perfect for getting around Rome and beyond. The staff are all lovely and friendly, eager to help in any way they can. The rooms are cleaned daily and the breakfast offers a good choice and the option to eat in the roof garden.

Great location!Posted Aug 19, 2014
1 minute away from Rome's main train station (Termini), within a walking distance from several landmarks. Not very friendly staff, small rooms and bathrooms but clean, asked for a double bed but got two single! Great terrace for breakfast which is just fine

Nice hotel near the TerminiiPosted Aug 19, 2014
It was comfortable and pleasant. Rather a lot of stairs to carry bags up to enter the hotel and to teach the lift.

Good choice in ROMEPosted Aug 15, 2014
Good location and the room was clean and updated. The room was small but normal for Europe. I would stay there again.

Return trip to RomePosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Central location (two streets from the train terminal),.clean, breakfast included.
Cons: Not much.
Location: Attractions encircle Rome, and we were on the rim of the circle. Multiple sidewalk restaurants near hotel in every direction.
We are history and art buffs. We stayed 5 nights and saw all the major attractions. Recommend Borghese Galleria, the Vatican, the Colosseum, Forums, Trevi Fountain (under renovation), Spanish Steps, St. Peter-in-Chains (Michelangelo's Moses), and even a side trip to Pompeii. July very hot; last trip was in June and more comfortable.

Wonderful friendly, efficient staffPosted Jul 18, 2014
Cons: Everything is fine.
Location: The location is great for travelling and is close to all the main attractions.
We were warmly welcomed on arrival and each time we came into contact with members of staff. The hotel is clean and most pleasantly furnished. It was delightful to enjoy the wide selection of foods offerred for breakfast. The hotel is only minutes from Termini train station. A great choice!
