“we'll definitely stay here again”
We stayed 6 nights and hit just about every tourist stop. Superb location, one block off the Via Veneto, quiet, numerous pizzerias and restaurants within walking distance, subway entrance at Spanish steps a few blocks away. Easy subway ride to the Vatican--about 3 stops. Taxi stand one block away and a mere 5-10 minute ride to Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and more. Breakfast buffet was a very nice plus--and a must to start your day. Staff was helpful. Lobby area nice with 4 nice seating areas for daily newspapers and such. Room was not large but adequate, bathroom was up to date; house keepping was prompt and did a good job. For the price, this is an excellent hotel. we will be back for sure
“would definitely go back”
Great service, very friendly fron check-in to end of our stay. Room was big and the bathroom was huge! Great location and a very quiet neighborhood.
“I,ll recomend this hotel to anyone going to Rome”
Best location, really 1 block to via veneto, 2 to 5 blocks to walk to every important place, excelence in every detail, the staff is the best, Mr. Nicola, the concierge is very helpfull and nice. The service in this hotel is great, very clean and beautifull, with a great restaurant in place, rooms and bathrooms size are big.
“Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet.”
i was first disappointed because i had booked a smoking room only to find out they have NO smoking rooms available. Shame on you Expedia! Rooms are very small. Beware, No 110V available.Dining area is nice and food is good. Across the street from Park Borghese was nice. Only 3 or 4 blocks from US Embassy. Short 10 minute walk to Verdi Fountain. Be sure to have Euro dollars. Hard to find any business that will take US. Be prepared to pay taxi for 2 over $200 US to get to the Hotel from the Port, $75 US to the airport. Rome ain't cheap.
“Would stay here again”
We loved the Hotel Victoria. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They suggested restaurants and called cabs as needed. we celebrated my wife's birthday during our stay and I asked if they could have a birthday cake waiting for us when we retuned from our Florence excursion. The cake was delivered when we came back to the room and was a beautiful choice. The room was very comfortable. We slept with the window open most nights. The windows were insulated, so when the street noise became too much, we just closed the window and slept peacefully. We enjoyed the location. It was around the corner from the busy Via Veneto, but just far enough away to reduce most of the nighlife noise. The Villa Bourghese was across the street and provided a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooftop garden was not open for business when we first arrived, but we spent some time up there sitting at the tables and lounging in the chairs. The slightest criticism would be the gym. We thought they had a gym and pool on premise, but that wasn't the case. They have a partnership with a nearby gym, but the cost was 20 euro per person per day. Overall, the place was classy, welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was superb, though sometimes very crowded. Nicola at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly, and the multilingual bartender (didn't get his name) was engaging and very personable.
“Very impressive hotel with clean modern room/bathrooms, great restaurant and staff”
As a first time traveler to Europe, didn't know what to expect from hotels in Rome. Did our research on what travelers thought of the hotel before we made reservations through Expedia. The reviews from fellow tourists about Hotel Victoria were very accurate. The staff spoke English very well and were very helpful in setting up reservations for other activities. Rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished. Bathrooms were very nice as well. Quite location and the area surrounding the hotel was very nice as well.
“Would stay there again”
Having read other reviews, the hotel was just what we were expecting. The location was perfect, away from all the noise and hustle of the tourist areas of Rome. We could open the windows at night and still get a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk was always pleasant and helpful, whether with directions or with suggestions. The free breakfast was good and offer a wide selection, although it never changed from day to day. The rooftop restaurant was delightful. We ate there twice. When we go back, I expect to stay at the Victoria Hotel again.
“Pleasant Stay”
The staff at Victoria Roma Hotel was wonderful. They had super attitudes and didn't ever make us feel rushed or like we were bothering them. The staff made me feel very comfortable in this hotel. They all spoke English (in addition to Italian). This was one of the nicest hotel staffs I have experienced. The room was not wonderful but it was fine. One large bed with four pillows. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were clean. There was a modern, flat-panel tv with both English and Italian channels. Bathroom was decent but not spectacular. The hotel lobby was clean and stylish definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Tip: During European Summer, enjoy their FANTASTIC roof terrace with a dining experience and unequalled skyline view.
“Roman Elegance”
The public rooms of the Victoria hotel are grand and elegant, and the breakfasts are superb. The guest rooms are a little tired, but comfortable and clean. We asked for a quiet room and got it. The location is perfect for visiting Villa Borghese and the Borghese Gardens and Via Veneto; it is also convenient for the area round Spanish steps and Piazza de Popolo, if you are a walker. A cab stand in the same street made getting to and from other sights and the train station easy.
“GOOD PLACE IN ROME”
GOOD HOTEL, NICE PEOPLE, CLEAN, EXCELLENT BREAKFAST, GOOD PLACE TO WALK AROUND ROME, SAFE
