Posted Jun 10, 2014 on Hotels

Cute little B&B with great viewsPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: The views from the window and balcony were great, had a really nice atmosphere and very clean and tidy. Good location for getting around Rome.
Cons: It wasn't the most comfortable mattress and one of the rooms has a frosted glass door which could afford a little more privacy, but we found it fine.
Location: Walking distance to the Colosseum, and plenty of little cafes and shops around the locality to explore.
The B&B is on the 8th floor of an apartment block, very close to the Re De Roma metro stop so was very easy to get to and get about. Lovely little elevator to get to the top (is very small though, could only just fit 3 people!). Owner incredibly friendly, emailed on booking to get details and provide advice, called once we'd arrived to check what time we were expecting to check in. One thing that we weren't expecting was that the room had to be paid for in cash, so we had to go and get more Euros out, however he gave us a day or two to sort it out. Our room was nice, quite plain but comfortable, and there was a really nice big bathroom which was shared with one other room. On the second day the owner knocked on our door and asked if we wanted to move into a bigger room with a balcony, and an even better view! I would recommend this place, it's only really small (total 4 rooms!) and quite quirky but had everything we needed, including a fridge and free tea/coffee etc in the lobby, and very friendly :)
