This was an awesome location. Walking distance to many attractions as well as food and shops. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Rome.

everything one could wantPosted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: central, quiet ,clean, comfortable, secret, stylish
Cons: the room kettle could have worked (for early morning tea)
Location: It couldnt be more central, for walking everywhere and was also close to bus stops.
During 8 visits to Rome I have stayed in every kind of accommodation from a convent to the Hilton. La Papessa was the best of all.

Our weekend in RomaPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
La Papessa is a perfect location for family exploring. It is close to great sites, shopping, gelato and all within walking distance. Our family had many interests and the staff made suggestions to meet all our needs. We were traveling with teens and young adults and always felt safe to let them venture on their own. Early morning outtings to Trevi fountain was a favorinte as we enjoyed watching the city awaken with a cafe latte in hand. Thank you to the staff for your kindness and hospitality.

Cozy B&B in a great location with great service!Posted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Immediately after booking we received personalized attention from the staff of La Papessa. A welcoming email and subsequent answers to our questions on bedding, luggage storage and early arrival set the stage for our arrival. After the overnight flight from the US it was awesome to be able to check in at 9:30 AM and get a shower and fresh clothes prior to hitting the sites of Rome. Marcella and Joseph took care of every need including luggage, restaurant recommendations, and sightseeing directions. The breakfast was simple and delicious. The room was small but comfortable. La Papessa is not staffed 24/7 but they leave you a number to call after staff hours if there is anything you need. The location of this B&B is superb - just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and dozens of restaurants and shops. You can also walk to the Vatican or the Coliseum. We greatly enjoyed staying here and would stay here again.

The perfect location for visiting RomePosted Jul 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a small hotel located in a non-descript building in the very center of Rome. It is a bit hard to find, but once you do, the location is perfect for exploring Rome. This is not a hotel really, but more of a hostel style accommodation with hotel quality rooms. The operator Catarena is a very lovely lady, who is very helpful and really does add to one's experience. I would recommend this hotel, purely on location, and highly recommend to anyone traveling on a budget.

Upscale B&BPosted Jun 7, 2013
Pros: The high ceilings of their rooms. So used to economical rooms having low ceilings that this was a refreshing change.
Cons: I didn't find an iron in our room but I'm guessing they had one in their common area, I just didn't ask.
Location: Location was fantastic. Very close to Trevi Fountain and within walking distance to all the biggest sights.
When I think of Bed and Breakfast I think less than lavish but with a personal touch, but the room was actaully the nicest we stayed in our entire honeymoon. The staff was happy to help and the owner even sat with us for a while and recommended a couple sights. So I'd say they provide a lavish feel AND a personal touch. Also the mini bar items were suprisingly affordable (around 1 and 2 euros per item).

Great LocationPosted May 22, 2013
Pros: Great Location and Staff!
This was our first trip to Rome. My daughter and I loved this hotel! It was cute, clean, safe and in a great location. The hotel served a continental breakfast every morning and, had free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. We walked everywhere! Very close to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, Pantheon. The staff was AMAZING!! Very friendly and helpful... especially Caterina and Marcella. They booked a Taxi to and from the airport for us, offered ideas on places to eat and see. They helped us book tours to the Coliseum, Vatican, and a day trip to Florence. We highly recommend this hotel! We will return next summer!

Ok, at first this bed and breakfast may be hard to find. But, it is worth it in the end. This little place was 3 minute walking distance to the Pantheon, 20 minutes walking distance to the Vatican, 10 minutes to the Colosseum, and 2 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. It was a beautiful view of Rome night life, and once found, the location made perfect sense, right off of the main drag Via Del Corso. My husband and I had a beautiful time and would stay at La Papessa again. My recommendation is to ask the ladies there the best way to get there from the train station because more than likely the taxi drivers won't know where it is.
