“Nice place to stay”
It was a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It was lovely in the morning to sit and eat your breakfast and look out over Rome.
“Nice boutique hotel with great terrace!”
Very helpful staff. Not in the city center but all close enough to walk. Enjoyed the sunsets over Rome during dinner on terrace. Breakfasts were a feast. Very nice stay!
“Great Hotel, Location is good but not great...”
The Marcella Royal Hotel is a great hotel to stay in for couples. It is clean, comfortable, great staff and has a great breakfast. We traveled to Rome in February and during the winter time they even offered to us complimentary umbrellas and the staff was extremely helpful every morning setting us with routes to enjoy Rome. One thing that was annoying was the limit on Internet access (only 1 hour every day), but when in rome an hour a day should be enough... The thing about the Marcella Royal Hotel which could be better is the location, if you want to be in an area that is closer to the main attractions of Rome then pick out a hotel that is closer to the spanish steps or the trevi fountain. Marcella is about a 30 minute walk from those main attractions... But all in all it was a perfect stay in Rome and I would not change a thing!
“Beautiful hotel”
Was great, staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. Arranged for pickup at the airport and to take us back. they also booked any tours we were looking to go on. Breakfast was good but you had to be their early to get any eggs, the meat in the morning was fantastic. Beautiful views from the roof top terrace.
“NIce but tight!”
This was a nice small hotel with a helpful front desk. They followed through on everything we asked for help with. They accommodated our early breakfast needs (wonderful breakfast buffet). Rooms were comfortable and clean but are typically small. Bed & linens were superb. A great nights sleep was had. All in all a good experience!
“Enjoyable Stay”
On reading reviews on other sites I nearly didnt book this hotel, but was glad I did. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the hotel was lovely. Hotel within walking distance of Spanish Steps, Via Veneto, Borghuese Gardens, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon - bus to Colleseum stops on next street.
“Nice hotel at a great price”
This hotel was recommended to me by a friend. It is a little far from most of the main tourist areas (20 minuute walk to Trevi fountain, 25 min walk to Spanish Steps), but the hotel was very nice and clean. It has a very nice indoor/outdoor rooftop terrace where the included breakfast is served, and you can have cocktails and dinner there as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel considering how scary some of the smaller hotels in Rome can be, not to mention how expensive!
“Quaint hotel - great rooftop bar!”
I really enjoyed this hotel! It was an easy walk to the Termini station as well as navigating to the Colisseum and Ruins and multiple other sites. There were multiple restaurants located in close proximity to the hotel. The roof top bar in the evening was very relaxing - and service was great! It was quiet enough if you wanted to read, or talk amongst friends! The windows opened onto a small balcony but a great feature to look out onto the neighborhood!
“Recommend this hotel to others!”
Lovely hotel to stay in!! The decor a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. The roof top bar/restaurant is lovely for breakfast and to start the evening with a cocktail before setting out for food...! We found the location of the hotel meant there was always a significant walk to the main places to see. Therefore in the hot sun of June a taxi ride was the better option. Highly recommended!!
“Freundlich, sauber, gerne wieder!”
