I had a great time there. There is a balcony in my room which I like a lot. And nice view from my room.

Old Hotel that needs facelift!

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Rooftop bar only
Cons: Rooms need to be completely redone. Heating system should be fixed but most importantly, new carpeting and curtains. They must have been 30 years old.
Location: Some decent restaurants but nothing else.
Rooms were too small, carpeting dirty and disgusting and even the location was good for nothing. Sorry, but the staff was pleasant especially the bartender on the rooftop. Would not return even if it was free.

top customer service, great stay.

Pros: As i've said almost everything!
Cons: just some tidying up decoratively in bathroom/shower. Tired feet needed a soak in a bath!
Location: very nice spot- in banking/government zone. Excellent dept store on via piave.go eat La Pentoluccia. BRING GOOD WALKING SHOES! We loved guided tours
The staff in this hotel were so helpful, pleasant and welcoming. It's well situated and the rooftop bar/breakfast room is fab. Great views and great service. We really enjoyed ourselves. Good places to eat nearby and some good shops. It's 10 mins walk from Termini - otherwise 17 euros in taxi. 50 from Fiuminco. Try the airport shuttlebus?

Nice hotel, small rooms, 20 mins away from trevi

Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Close to the Pensieri Pizza shop, one of the best pizzas in rome, close to the repubblica train station and the central station (termini). Free WIFI
Cons: More variety in the open buffet breakfast, bit bigger room for twin beds
Location: Pensieri Pizza is a must, Termini & Repubblica train stations are near, 20 mins away from Trevi Fountain and nearby is a beautiful Church "Basilica"
Small and cozy hotel, extremely limited in their open buffet breakfast (eggs and bacon, cheese and salami, boiled eggs, sugared croissants and cakes and corn flakes and of course the jam and butter). the nutella small portions saved the day however. The hotel charges you and extra 24 or 21 euros when checking out claiming its a town tax, which is different than the tax paid when you book, this was a bit weird as they do not mention it anywhere and they do not tell it to you when you check in. There is no view at all, but its pretty close to the trevi fountain (20 mins) and almost all other attractions, but walking can be very tiring in Rome. The hotel staff are very helpful with queries about where to go and other attractions. Clean hotel, and far away from noise and calm at night.

Great Stay

Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: The roof terrace is stunning and a big bonus to staying at the hotel. Perfect views of Rome and the environment plus breakfast on the roof is special.
Cons: The d├ęcor is a bit old fashioned and my room was small,...but somehow the pluses and location made up for any minor negatives a person may find.
Location: Very close to Roma Termini station - only a 7 minute walk. Plenty restaurants in the area to choose from and even more deli's for lunch.
I found Marcella Royal Hotel a bonus to my trip. The staff were friendly and went out of there way to find me a double adaptor and other requests I had. No shortage of restaurants in the area and so many deli's for lunch...hard to make a choice when there are so many. The location is ideal and only a short walk to Termini station where there is the Metro and transport to any location, including the bus tour of Rome. I have stayed at 5 star hotels where the experience was no where as nice as the Marcella Royal. My recommendation is that for value, great staff, location, and choice of restaurants...its well worth the money. I also liked that my room was silent at night,..no noise from next door rooms or the passageways outside the room - and of course the roof terrace, bar area and roof breakfast facility made it a place I will return to.

Great hotel in Rome

Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: The roof garden and breakfast terrace.
Location: The location was fine for us but it is about a 20 minute hilly walk to some of the main attractions (Trevi fountain and Spanish steps).
This hotel was very nice, clean, staff helpful and reasonably priced.

Lovely stay a little out of the way

Posted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: The roof top restaurant, the position and the people
Location: Restaurants and a quiet location
We had a lovely stay at the Hotel. It is a little out of the hustle an bustle of central Rome but it has good clean rooms, lovely and helpful staff. The roof top restaurant has superb views. The Hotel has some lovely restaurants just outside the Hotel as well. We would have o hesitation on recommending the Hotel.
