Modern City Centre Hotel with Rooftop Pool

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Great rooftop area with the pool and sunloungers, separate rooftop area with tables and chairs some of which is partly covered and a bar.
Cons: The lifts were really quite slow but as we were only the second floor it was easier and quicker to use the stairs.
Location: You are in the wonderful city of Rome, no need to say more.
We had spotted this hotel on a previous trip to Rome as it served our two main requirments of being in the city and also having an outdoor pool. The location is ideal as you can see from the photos of the Colosseum, the metro "B" line also has a stop opposite the Colosseum and is only two stops down from the Termini Station (be warned the Colloseo metro station does not have any escalators so you would have to carry suitcases up the stairs). There are some resturants around the Colosseum area and the hotels location ensures that many locations are not too far of a walk away. If you are planning to visit St Peters Basilica probably best to get the metro to Termini and then onto the "A" line you can get tickets for up to a hours travelling at the metro stations for 1.5 Euros. Our room was at the rear of the hotel so cannot comment on street noise we did hears sirens on a couple of occasions but that is to be expected staying in a city. Hotel staff very helpful and their English was much better than my Italian we were also able to extend our checkout time by a couple of hours which was ideal. This is the third time we have visited Rome and this has been our favourite hotel.

Wonderful hotel in a great location!

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Location, price, friendly staff
Cons: Lift was a little slow, and we were on the 7th floor and right under the bar, the chair scrapping noise was a little loud at times, but bearable.
Location: Colosseum is a given, and the San Clemente church.
We stayed here for four nights after finding a great deal online. The hotel was easy to find from the Metro, just a two minute walk away, the room was nice and had everything we needed, the free water was great too as we also forget to buy some when we are out. The view from the roof is fantastic (though the pool a little cold!), and we were lucky enough to have fireworks going off over the Colosseum one night, which was just magical.Breakfast was a little pricey, but nice, we did prefer to go out to eat though. About a ten minute walk away just past the forum, there is a lovely row of restaurants that are a good price (2 pizza's, wine and a soft drink for around 25 euros). From the hotel it's really easy to see all the sights, the Trevi fountain is about a 20 minute walk, and the Vatican is easy to get to on the Metro. You are also just around the corner to the San Clemente church which is great. Staff were lovely and sorted out taxis for us, and gave us free maps on reception. The rooftop bar was great as well, just right for chilling out after a busy day in Rome.

Central location to see Rome

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: We liked the location the staff were lovely and helpful
Cons: We upgraded because of the size of the room but there was no bath and no dressing gowns. The limited menue for room service was frozen pasta
Location: The staff recommend great restaurants, don't go to the local tourist traps
Stayed in Rome for 5 nights went on 3 organised tours, recommended as there is so much to see and so much history. All the tour guides were very knowledgeable and passionate. Be careful of the underground we had a wallet stolen by a group of young girls.

Trendy hotel with great roof terrace

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Everything was great, the pool on the roof is brilliant when it's hot. It's only a few minutes from the Colosseum and then approx 25 mins to the other main attractions. The tourism tax shouldn't be overlooked at 6 euro's a night per person, but this is standard in Rome for a 4* hotel.

Perfect

Located slap bang in the heart of Ancient Rome, with views of the Colosseum from some of the rooms, and from the rooftop swimming pool (take your camera to the roof top for astonishing sunsets!) and bar, this is the beginning of what is appealing about this hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, with 24 hours of free WIFI, this hotel is a giver. It's positioned in between two metro stations (each of which serves the A or B lines respectively) and is surrounded by restaurants and bars. You need to Trip-advise your way to something that fits your budget, as there's a danger of being charged high bucks for being in tourist trap central, but there are plenty of options to choose from if you want to stay in the immediate area. We spent our days touring around Rome, and early evenings in the swimming pool and at the bar meeting other guests staying there and headed out around 2030 for dinner. Altogether, it's a splendid hotel where, despite being in exciting Rome, you'll want to spend a "bit" of time at the hotel.

Fantastic Hotel , 5 mins walk to the Colosseum

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Overall a great place to stay, there is a computer in the reception so you can print off vouchers for pre booked tours. Free Wi-Fi .
Cons: The lift was slow, my only fault.
Location: Visit the Colosseum, Forum, we did walk to the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, although you can jump on the metro to the Vatican.
Hotel was close to the metro, we loved the roof terrace, lovely seating area with bar, pool a tad cold but an ideal place to relax after a busy day sight seeing. Reception staff really helpful, we took the metro whilst visiting some of the sights. The room was quiet and dark, great bathroom, clean, tea and coffee facilities, although the paper cups were not ideal. Free water in the mini fridge. We ate out whilst exploring , but the breakfast buffet did look lovely. Would stay at the hotel again and would recommend it.

Nice hotel close to the colosseum

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The rooftop bar and swimming pool (good after a hard days sight seeing).
Cons: Its what it is.
Location: Near the centre of Rome and masses of churches and ancient sights within walking distance.
The room was clean and the bathroom great. Pity about the paper cups to have early morning tea in. San Clemente was just across the road and the Palatine and Forum within easy walking distance, plenty of eating places close by.
