Dissapointing experience!

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: -
Cons: There should be a clear description that this is not a hotel but rooms for rent!
Location: Located not as close to the centre as indicated and the area isn't great.
Very dissapointing experience. The description doesn't match what you get, it's overpriced. I wouldn't call it a hotel! but rooms for rent, no reception and room service, one towel no matter how many nights you stay, no cleaning in the rooms. You have to make your breakfast in badly equipped small kitchen - no kettle, broken coffee machine! You will get some biscuits and cereal. A lot of noise in the rooms from the street and noisy doors. Bathrooms are shared and generally the standard is poor. I don't recommend! Be careful!

Such a bad experience.......

Posted Oct 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Make sure you call the off site manager before you arrive! If you don't you will arrive to a dark door in a bad part of town with low lighting and nobody answering the intercom. Turns out this is a make shift residential apartment that is flogged as a bed and breakfast. It is not. I arrived and thankfully a guest let me in. I called the manager who told me he had repeatedly tried to email me and I received no such emails. The people that let me had the same experience and 2 groups to follow also the same experience. The breakfast non existent except for a bottle of milk and carton of juice in fridge. Was told no credit card would be accepted. Only cash or would have to find another place. If you are looking for a record breaking stressful experience this is the place for you. Wish I had read the reviews and avoided this place.

Good for the price

This b&b definitely served its purpose. It's in a good location, walking distance to the Colosseum, restaurants and shopping are close. Neighborhood is ok during the day, fair at night. There is a great gelato place a couple blocks away. The room is ok. Bed and night stand, no tv. Quiet place. Shared bath. Cleaned daily. Breakfast is "Italian" which means cookie, dry cereal & milk or pre-packaged croissant. Service is good, nice people. If you plan on just using this place to sleep it works good.

Good value for a convenient place

Posted Nov 9, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was very satisfied with everything. But I didn't have very high expectations. Also note that this is not a traditional "hotel", it is a apartment, divided into rooms, with a shared kitchen. No staff on site, no one to call with immediate needs. Its more like a B&B where you make your own breakfast. The quality of the room was very good, but we could hear the neighbors a little. The basic utilities were acceptable for the price. I would go there again, and would recommend them to a friend.

Not a B&B but a Cheap Hostel

Posted Jan 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
Let me start by telling you this is NOT a Bed and Breakfast. Its more of a cheap hostel. Here are the FACTS...You choose: 1. No Breakfast but cheap crackers left by cleaner from the day before. 2a. It is an apartment in the fife floor, owners don't leave there. They may yel at you in the phone. 2b. The small two people elevator was broken one of the two nights ... these 5 floors are harder then the Spanish steps. 3. You need 4 keys between the build. door and the bed (two for building, one for Aprt, one for room). 4. There are 4 rooms and you get one but no privacy...the paper walls make sure you hear everything your neighbor room is saying and doing. You will also hear everyone coming in/out of the apartment. 5. It is close to Train-Station, but there are 300+ other hotels closer and better value. 6. No soup, no bath, no clean towel on second night. 7. They DO NOT take credit card...you are expected to pay with Cash. The owner does not want of the 2-3% tax and expect you to leave Cash on the desk. 8. Cheap overall feel. I strongly recommend one of the other hotels or a better hostel. But remember, this is not a bed and breakfast and dont even think you get that kind of a feeling. Enjoy your stay in Roma but enjoy more with any other better hotels/hostels...even if you need to pay few more Euros.

clean and nice, but have to pay cash!

Posted Jul 31, 2011 on Hotels.com
It´s a little hard to get there, ring the bell in the building, cause there are no signs. If you get the bigger room, Bed and stuff are really comfortable and nice. Be aware that they don´t take credit cards and that you have to pay also de "comuna tax"

Mi Casa Tu Casa

Posted May 25, 2011 on Hotels.com
Make sure to call or email the managers so that they will be there to let you in. You can ring the bell upon arrival. The place is simple but clean. 4 individual rooms, two shared baths and a kitchen. You are only allowed to use the kitchen for breakfast. Also the breakfast is very simple --packaged croissants, milk, coffee, butter and jam. Nothing fresh. Location is convenient for walking to the old city and very near the metro. The neighborhood is okay but not great late at night.

it's written very well that you have to contact the management before arrival.

POOR PLACE

Posted Apr 21, 2011 on Hotels.com
If your only condition to be in a Hotel or B&B is haw close it is to the train station, Mi Casa Tu Casa could be a good place. It is the only advantage beside the price.
