Not what we expected

Posted Oct 27, 2012
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Cleanliness and size
After reading the reviews, we thought that we were getting a great deal...unfortunately, we were disappointed. The location of the hotel and the staff were great. We were impressed by the staff members' suggestions for places to see and eat and their assistance and friendliness. However, the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel left much to be desired. Size of the room was very small for our family of six and the bathroom had mold growing on the walls, ceiling, and floor. While very convenient to get to anywhere we needed to go in Rome, we would would hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

Cozy, convenient hotel

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was small but it was adequate. The breakfast room was cozy and the food tasty. The location is wonderful in that it is within blocks of Termini. However, I would caution that the hotel is hard to find. The hotel is within a large building and only has a small sign in the front of the building.

Notti a Roma Nice little B&B

Posted Aug 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
Nice little B&B. Staff very friendly and helpful.Ten minutes walking to Termini station.Don't believe when people tell you that it is only a 15-25 minute walk to everything, you need the tour bus.Do NOT use the panorama geen line the hotel pushes,we found out after the fact it doesn't have many buses,is more expensive than the others, and the last stop of the night at the farthest point was @ 655pm.The red bus ran until 11pm. So on top of the tour bus cost we had to walk miles after a long day or pay for a taxi! Also they didn't announce stops so instead of paying attention to the sites you had to be counting stops.Staff very rude as well.Somedays we had to wait an hour for a bus which didn't leave enough time for things on the agenda. As for the B&B itself: Had an elevator, no charge for airconditioning,a decent breakfast, and a nice big room for the 4 of us,seperate living room with big flat screen t.v.Again very nice people running the place,my only complaints would be that the beds are rock hard literally felt like I was being bruised any time I rolled over and there was an odor in the bathroom that never went away even though they kept the place very clean so don't know if it was the water that smelled that bad or what. Overall I would stay there again.Just wish they would invest in some comfortable mattresses.

Friendly, Not Fancy

Posted Mar 31, 2010
After spending four nights at Notti a Roma in March of 2010 I think of establishment's staff as my new friends in Rome. It's not fancy- it's more like a humble bed-and-breakfast than a hotel- but the courteous staff and owner go out of their way to assist their guests. The location is also ideal.
