Value for moneyPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: The shower.
Cons: Instructions on how to get there if not using the airport shuttle or a taxi.
Location: We only stayed the night before an early flight so didn't explore much. The Ostia Antica ruins are definitely worth a visit though.
Excellent for the price paid. Nothing flashy, but it was great for the cheap price we paid. The shower was fantastic! If getting here by public transport, make sure you take the bus and don't try to walk from Ostia Antica station as the pavement runs out before you get the hotel. There is also a good restaurant in the hotel itself.

Hotel Ostia AnticaPosted Oct 14, 2013
Cons: The cleaner they use in the room needs to be aired out prior to guests using the room.
The Hotel Ostia Antica is about 15 min from Fiumicino Airport. Check in was quick and the online price was very reasonable. There is an airport shuttle which costs 15 euros. The only complaints I had was the bed was uncomfortable. They also use a cleaning product that lingers in the room. Those with asthma may be bothered by that. Next door to the hotel, is an excellent restaurant called Ristorante al Bajniero. The pizza margherite was excellent. The chef even made us a delicious dessert!

No SurprisesPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: It was clean, quiet and the staff seemed polite and helpful.
Cons: Don't charge people extra to use the pool/hot tub.
Location: Al Bajniero restaurant is right nextdoor. The archaeological site of Ostia Antica rivals Pompeii!
We recently spent one night at the Ostia Antica Park Hotel. It was very convenient to the Rome aiport and the Ostia Antica archaeological site. It was quiet in spite of the fact that it's located just off a busy road. There's an excellent restaurant next door.

Good hotel with pleasant staff.Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Great quite court.
Location: Great location to tour Ostia Antica ruins and Castel.
Pre book the shuttle from airport the cab ride is expensive. The hotel is older but well cared for and the staff were helpful and friendly. Ask for a room overlooking the court yard which is quieter. The rooms are basic and beds a little hard but clean and have large balconies. The breakfast included had a nice selection. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great value on a budget.

Good location for airportPosted Oct 4, 2013
Cons: Some of the curtains need replacing
Location: Charming ruins that we didn't have time to see
Good location as it is close to airport by car. The staff were very good and accommodating and go out of their way to provide good customer service. The rooms were clean but a little dated. We ended up being very close to the castle and enjoyed a pleasant supper nearby and only wish we had more time to discover the area.

Okay hotel near the airport. Just a stopping pointPosted Oct 1, 2013
It is a motel that near the airport. Actually, it wasn't that close either. It took 25-30 minutes to get to the airport. From the center of Rome to airport is about 30-40 minutes. The place have a shuttle bus to the airport which costs 15 Euro (one way), but still cheaper than taxi. So it was beneficial. The shuttle bus service starts at 7 AM. The food that I tried at the hotel restaurant... it was pretty bad. One of the worst food I had in Italy. The breakfast starts earlier than other hotel, and it was an another benefit to me since I had to catch early flight. The room was little noisy from the traffic outside, but it was pretty clean. Money value wise, it was pretty good. There is nothing to expect. It is just a stopping point to people who missed flight or something. Oh! The wifi doesn't work in the room. It works at the common area, but didn't work in the room.

Clean good service some enlish speaking staff.Posted Sep 23, 2013
We stayed our 1st week just outside Rome and avoided the hassle of using a car in Rome. The Hotel we stayed at was the Ostia Antica Park Hotel .Grocery store a few blocks away called DOC but used roads left of hotel to get there . Road to right side for bus pickup to dangerous. Took bus and subway into Rome (.approx. an hour and a half sometimes) on first day to learn route to first tour . After 3 days we were pros on using the metro buses and subway system. Rome is amazing and the Sistine Chapel , Vatican city the Colossium, Forum Pantheon etc.are must see sights. We were fortunate to take guided tours to avoid long lineups and recommend this if possible. Our stay in the Apennines Mts during the second week was awe inspiring and the Abruzzo Park area is so beautiful, the resort staff pleasant helpful and english speaking at the main desk. The rooms are clean and although small and limited compared to American standards still perfect if one wants to experience the Italian culture. You will need a car staying here but the roads are much less busy, easy to drive on, narrow at times lots of neat winding curves thru the villages. A GPS is recommended and we put ours to good use especially from the airport to the resort.
