convenient but there are issues
i booked it based on the good reviews from others, but my stay was unfortunately not the same as theirs. it is noisy from night to the early morning and the water hydrant on the corner runs 24/7. there is smell of backed up plumbing right before entering our room. it is convenient. it is near termini station for those who need to catch trains, subways, or airport buses. there are many mini marts and restaurants (no comment on the restaurants since i didn't eat at the ones nearby). the staff are nice.

Great location 5 min walk from the train station
Friendly helpful staff and the hotel is situated up a quiet back screet. One morning we needed to print off vouchers for a trip we had booked and the staff were happy to help. The room was comfortable and clean, There are no tea or coffee making facilties in the room but again the staff were really helpful and were happy to lend us a kettle from the kitchen. There was a fridge in the room. Breakfast in not provided out of season but there are plenty of shops - mini stores nearby that sell friut and sandwiches and loads of cafes. Virtually oposite the hotel is a good restaurant.

Handy for train station. Cosy with good size room. No breakfast as it was off season but plenty of options nearby. Would stay here again

Rome stay
Room was small but clean, warm and cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful with tour advise. It's local to the termini and not far from most attractions. It's the third time I have stayed here.

Too much noise at night, one of the staff was really uptight. He did not even some at us. Hannah was really nice. He shouldn’t be in the front desk.

Only 5/10 minutes walk from Termini
Great location to main station, but can walk pretty much everywhere. Surrounded by food places. More authentic restaurants are a bit further way. Staff very helpful in recommending things to do.

The hostel is generally convenient. Restaurants and stores are close. But the hostel is a bit dark and quiet which made me a bit uncomfortable. The worst thing is that no hot water is supplied there, which means it is impossible to bath there.

Good hotel close to the train station
This hotel was a good value. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and the train station was only 10 minutes away.

Great location
Papa Germano's is a great little hotel near the train and Metro stations. The front desk staff are very helpful, provided a map, as well as directions and advice for any sightseeing we wanted to do. There are several great restaurants in the area. The room and bathroom were the smallest we've stayed in, but it was clean, quiet, and in a great location.

Papa Germano's is only a 5 minute walk (once you know where you're going) from Termini station. the place itself is ok shared bathrooms were relatively clean. Service can depend on who is working on the day but overall they were helpful enough.

Don't pass this one up. Great room and location.

Papa Germano—Great
The room was impeccable. The hotel staff were fun and very helpful. Free computers to use. Breakfast was excellent—ham, cheese, yogurt, fruit, roll, juice, cereal (€5 good deal). Coffee was supposedly American coffee—could be a lot better.

It was very clean, had good wifi and had nice, accommodating people at the desk. It has shared bathrooms which isnt ideal, and has more of a hostel feel, but was nice for someone on a budget.

Beautiful place close to Rome Train Station
We choose Papa Germano's because of the excellent reviews on Expedia. Rome can be intimidating, but when we walked through the door of Papa Germano's everyone gave us a warm welcome. The floors shine from polished marble letting you know this place sparkles. Our room on the the third floor looked recently remodeled with the same shiny marble floors, new cabinets, new bed & bedding, all new bathroom fixtures and a brand new shower stall. We arrived by train and left by the airport shuttle bus, and both were a convenient 10 minute walk away. We were able to visit all the sights in Rome by walking, subway and bus. We met Papa Germano himself, and he turned out to be a warm friendly guy who assured us he believes in providing basic quality service for the lowest possible price. It's a great philosophy, and we'd stay there again.

Great value for its location near train station
We shared two bathrooms and they were spotless and nice not a problem at all. They have both wyfi and three computers. Computer internet speed was very fast. Staff very helpful. Located three blocks from train station which made it easy to take the train to airport. They run every 30 minutes---22 and 53 minutes after the hour and seem to be very punctual.

The room was spotless as was bathroom and shower. The staff were helpfull and friendly. The location was just a 5 minute walk to Termini where Tour buses Vatican bus and Airport bus departed.Hotel had 1 hour free internet access for guests which was very usefull.Only criticism is that there were no English channells on the t.v but internet access made up for this.Would well recommend this hotel

Overall it was a good stay. My husband and I were just there for 4 nights at the end of a France/Italy trip. The room was clean and the staff was really nice. There were two shared bathrooms in our wing and we only ever had to wait for a bathroom once. The only complaint is the noise. There is another hotel or apartment behind where our room was and people were really loud on the balcony so we had to either put up with it or swelter in the room. The bigger noise issue is in the hotel itself. There is NO soundproofing anywhere. Every morning we were woken up (sometimes at 5am) by people in the hallways talking and opening and closing doors. The doors into each wing are slow closing but ridiculously loud, so every time someone went through any door like that it sounded like they were slamming. If they sound proofed the rooms more it would be nicer. And I have to add, the showers were the biggest of any place we stayed in Europe!

This is not a hotel in the International definition. It is a Guest House comprising several rooms over many floors. However, it is well maintained and extremely clean in public areas as well as the rooms. It is a bijoux city hotel, which has no lift, small but adequate sized rooms and private bathroom. Not all rooms have private bathrooms so if it is needed ask at booking time. The staff are multi lingual and will help with anything they can. We were met with warm greeting by the owner , who gave us a map and told us what to see and how to get around. Breakfast is buffet style and good. WiFi is weak in the rooms but ok in public area. We stayed three nights and would definitely return for another city break. Good location walking distance to Rome Termini.

Very close to Termini
We chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and very close to Termini. It's a very short walk from the train station (only about 3 blocks). The room was small as expected in Italy. It was up a bunch of stairs. The staff was very nice. Our room had 4 beds. Everyone slept quite well.

Room, staff, breakfast were great, however, when we left our luggage in the lobby we came back to find ants everywhere! We told the receptionist, who didnt seem too phased, but did give us a spray to use on our luggage when we had asked. I would recommend this place to a friend (based on the location) but make them aware of the lobby situation and possibly advice them to hold onto their bags.

stayed at PG in September 2011, Gino could not have been more helpful or kind, after having a traffic accident in a nearby street. Gino came and spoke with bystanders and settled everyone, also giving us directions out of the tricky situation. Our room was simple yet adequate, aircon, fridge, new flatscreen and ensuite. The stairs weren't a problem for us. Handed out maps of rome at front desk and had free internet in lobby (4 PC's to use)For the cheapest accom in rome for 4, it had a great Location: street behind republica fountain and st Maria Basilica, few streets from Termini. We will be back, thanks Gino.

Papa Germano is not the Ritz-Carlton, but it certainly filled our needs since it is very close to the train station with service to the airport. We didn't want to stay at the airport on our last night so we could enjoy a last taste of Rome. Room was typical European size, nicer than most hostels and clean. Breakfast was nothing more than subsistence at the extra cost of 5 euro each. Overall, it was a good experience.

Hotel pulito, vicino la stazione termini Personale educato. Stanza singola pulitissima e letto comodo. Non si sentono i rumori provenienti dalla strada. Bagni puliti, da sistemare solo il doccino delle due docce al secondo piano (calcare) Bagni in comune ma ne ero a conoscenza. Wifi gratuito molto veloce. Due asciugamani, uno grande e uno piccolo presenti nella stanza

リッチはテルミニ駅から5分ほどでいいと思います。スタッフも感じが良かったです。 今回2泊しましたが、ホテルなのにタオルの交換をしてもらえませんでした。また、下水の臭いが気になる、換気扇がうるさい、ベッド掛け布団がペロペロ(ベッドカバーとシーツだけ)、エレベーターがない、コンセントが壊れていた等が気になりました。 寝るだけなので総合的には◯ですが、もう少しお安くてもいいかなと言った感じです。

Piccolo hotel nei dintorni della Stazione Termini, la zona è degradata, ma comoda per spostarsi nelle varie zone di Roma e per ripartire via ferrovia. La camera è piccola, spartana, il letto pulito e comodo, la TV ben funzionante anche se piccola, il Wi-Fi ottimo. Lo staff è stato gentile e disponibile. In conclusione una buona soluzione se cercate una sistemazione economica e senza fronzoli nella zona Stazione Termini.

Günstiges aber anspruchsloses Hotel
3 Nächte: Zimmer mit Gemeinschafts-Bad im Gang gebucht. Für so Rustikalitäten bin ich aber wohl zu alt inzwischen. Hotel unweit vom Bahnhof genommen damit man alle Verkehrsoptionen hat - der Plan ging auch auf. Zimmer war anspruchslos und es gab genug Geräusche, die man mitbekommt, etwas dunkel war es auch - aber wer hier bucht, weil er sich viel im Zimmer aufhalten will, ist eh falsch.

Excellent for short stays
Very good location, close to the Roma Termini. Perfect for me, who was trying to get as much from the city as possible in a short amount of time! Noteworthy is that you should order breakfast the day before, as they don't prepare it unless asked for.
