“Ponte Sisto well worth it”
A pretty hotel with a large room compared to most hoels in Europe Nig bathroom.l The front desk was very accomationg and helpfu. Our room was ready early in the morning. The hotel is in a very good location. Easy to walk to many of the points of interest in Rome Breakfast was included which is always a plus. I would definitiely stay there again.
“Definitely a Keeper”
This hotel is tops in almost all respects. But, contrary to the hotel's in-room information, the Ponte Sisto's dining room is actually open only for breakfast, unless you are attending a meeting or special event (i.e., not for dinner for ordinary guests). When, around dinner time, my wife asked at the front desk where the hotel restaurant was, she was told, "We don't have a restaurant." No .information was offered by the front desk on any of the several good restaurants in the neighborhood. Apart from this lapse, we loved the hotel.
“Great place to stay in Rome and feel part of the local area”
Great place to stay and use as base to tour Rome. Easy walking to everything, great access to local area restaurants. Amenities and breakfast were perfect.Would stay there again and again.
“Great location, good value,”
Hard to go wrong when you're in Rome, but this hotel not only had a great location (right across a foot bridge from Trastevere with great resteraunts and near Piazza Novona within easy walking of most sites) but was also a wonderful hotel with great service. I have to admit that I thought twice given what people said about the noise, but I brought ear plugs and, therefore, didn't have a problem. Not sure if I would have been as happy without them, but I'm thinking I would have loved this place either way. I spent twice as much for another great hotel right next to Piazza Novona, but this one was a better value. Although I prefer to eat breakfast out in the city, the two times (we were there a week) that I ate breakfast in the hotel was better than I expected. Glad I didn't go until half-way through trip, or I probably would have eaten in hotel every day (again, I prefer to eat outside in a Piazza).
“Very Impressed - would go back in a heartbeat!”
Hotel was in a good location - we were able to walk to Vatican City, ancient Rome sites, Piazza Navona, Parthenon, etc. We had a very large room with a great big tub (very nice!). Our room also had a large balcomy overlooking the street below (balcony had table & chairs). The breakfast in the lovely courtyard was great and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
“Ponte Sisto, Rome”
Good hotel in a great location.
“Perfect location, fabulous staff”
The Hotel Ponte Sisto was perfectly located, professionally staffed by caring people (who spoke English very well), and maintained thoughtfully with regard to convenience and cleanliness. The room was a bit small and spartan, but then I did not go to Rome to stare at a hotel room. All in all, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
“Great location”
The hotel was everything we could expect in a Rome hotel - the room was a nice size, the shower had a door, and the room was clean. The location couldn't have been better - an easy walk to the Vatican and the Colosseum. Reception also recommended wonderful, non-tourist restaurants on the other side of the Tiber. The location was great for late evenings as well since it is a very short walk to Campo Fiori. We would definitely stay in the hotel again.
“GREAT HOTEL IN FANTASTIC LOCATION”
FANTASTIC! Very nice hotel with American-sized bed, bath, shower. American style buffet breakfast was also a plus. Courteous, helpful staff all spoke English. But the best part is the locale. The hotel is just steps East of the Ponte Sisto bridge, a romantic footbridge leading to Trastevere, one of the nicest little neighborhoods in Rome (Fodor's calls it Rome's Greenwich Village). The Piazza de Santa Maria, as well as a large number of very good restaurants, shops, pubs, and the best gelato around, with relatively few American tourists (most of the tourists seemed to be European) await just over the bridge. Alternately, the Campo de Fiore is a short walk North, with Trevi, Navona, and Pantheon within walking distance, and the Vatican, Ancient Rome, Termini Station, and most anything else an easy cab ride away. We had three full days in Rome and this location allowed us to see all the highlights. Did I mention they have American-sized beds and showers?
“"Fantastico"!!!!”
Loved the location! Loved the staff....very helpful in all ways! Breakfast buffet was the most extensive of any during our stay in Italy! Hotel Ponte Sisto was immaculate and service was fantastic....would stay there again....Harry & Georgia

Area:
Navona - Pantheon, Rome, Italy: In the heart of the historic centre, Piazza Navona is Romes most famous square. Like a giant stage set, this is where the theatre of daily Roman life is re-enacted among the café tables that spill out onto the fountain-splashed piazza. Berninis baroque extravaganza, the Fontana dei Quattro Fiume, is the most celebrated of the three fountains. Nearby is the Pantheon one of Romes great symbols and a marvel of ancient architecture.
