Amazing stayPosted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: The location of the hotel was great walking distance from subway and many of the big attractions.
Location: spanish steps are up the street. Trevi fountain, piazza novana, and pantheon are walking distance, Colosseum, roman forum and vatican are very close.
We had an amazing stay at the Prestige Guest House. The staff was extremly nice and helpful and the hotel is in a great location. Even though the hotel is small the rooms are a good size in comparison to other hotel rooms we saw in the city, they served breakfast every morning in the room and always maintained everything very clean. Most of all we loved that we got to know the staff and that they were so nice and helpful. They always offered to help us and show us the best way around the city and attractions we should see. We honestly could not have asked for better service and a better location stay at.

Fablous locaion.Posted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: location, location, location
Cons: small fridge in the room...
Location: The oocation was the best, steps to the spanish steps, trevi founation, metro and shopping
The staff was incredible! My daughter was exhausted from all the touring so I was able to leave both my kids (ages 9 and 12) and the concierge kept an eye on them for short periods of time. She was literally sitting right outside our door! The area contains all the shopping you can imagine and all you need. The hotel is located between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain both within walking distance. There are countless restaurants nearby. THe staff was also great in giving information and directions. You can also walk to the metro which gives you access to the Vatican and Coleseum...both just a short subway ride away. The breakfast was just enough to get you to lunch. We also used the fountain nearby for our drinkiing water. After touring around, we discoveved that all the best shops and restaurants were right near our hotel. Great for kids as the TV has the Disney channel. Also felt safe to walk around at night.

Review as I see itPosted Apr 21, 2013
This Hotel is right in the center and right around the corner from the Spanish Steps and the metro system. It was in also a great location if you are ready to do some shopping at high end stores. The hotel staff was great and helpful. Downfalls are the beds are very hard and the air conditioning system was "broken until Monday." So glad that we did not really need the air conditioner due to the fact that we were high up and with a window open it was cool enough for comfort. Just getting better bed mattresses would really increase ratings for this hotel. Still had a great time in Rome!!

Lovely hotel, lovely service!Posted Feb 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
A friendly family run business. They couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful decor, fantastic central location within reach of all the major attractions and a good price. The only minor issue was a slightly bizarre smell that occasionally occurred after showering (I'll presume it's the ancient drainage system). Other than that, a fantastic experience. Would recommend for a couple whether on a budget or not.

Small rooms but good locationPosted Oct 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
Our stay went well there. The rooms are small which we knew. We had issues with noisy guests and pounding on the floor above us. The hotel people were nice and tried to find out where the noise was coming from.

Great central location!Posted Sep 11, 2012
Cons: 3rd floor situation
Location: Brilliantly placed for everything
Fabulously clean. Room was cleaned and tidied each day. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Shower was disappointing, very basic. You have to struggle up 3 flights of stairs if the lift isn't closed properly on another floor. A little noisy, paper thin walls! Plus I booked a smoking room via Expedia but the guest house is a smoking. Brilliant location for exploring central Rome, everything is within walking distance (The Vatican is a bit of a trek!). Despite the negatives I would recommend this place highly to couples as it was only somewhere for us to sleep and we needed nothing more.

great location good valuePosted Sep 5, 2012
Pros: great location
Cons: annoying flush of the toilet
On arrival someone had been smoking in the reception area which is by all the bedrooms. As non smokers this was not a good start. Didn't smell the smoke again so maybe a one off? Used the toilet immediately in the room and the flush breaks every time and need to manually fix it after each flush. Very annoying. Breakfast served in the bedroom which was a bit weird but ok once we had got used to it! Stain on the bed cover which wasn't good. Bed and pillows comfy though. Air conditioning good and quiet, small fridge in room and tea and coffee. Location was great lots of restaurants, shops, sights nearby all walking distance. Staff very helpful. Good value for the location.

Good value a/c accommodation in good locationPosted Aug 8, 2012
Pros: location, comfortable double bed, helpful managers, free wireless Internet
Cons: cleaner kept interfering with our things (like toileteries etc) and moving them into different places.
Location: This was close to Spanish steps and other tourist spots like Trevi Fountain.
This hotel was very well located and was within walking distance of many tourist attractions and was air conditioned and a quiet location as well. It also had a lift to be able to access the room. The room had a very nice decor with a painting and elaborate mirror and contained a good normal double bed which did not accidentally separate into 2 single beds in the middle of the night. The staff was very helpful with everything we asked for. We also made use of the free WIFI The advertised facilities did include a buffet breakfast but that was not included at all, instead it was a continental breakfast which was delivered to the room at the requested time. The room was mostly clean except that the sheets did have a fairly obvious stain. The most annoying thing was that whenever the room was cleaned our things were moved to different places. While this was a minor inconvenience, this was the only time in all our travels that we have ever experienced this interference. Overall it was well priced for the location and good service.

Prestige Guest House, Rome May 2012Posted May 9, 2012
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Paper thin connecting doors between the rooms.
Location: Located in a nice cobbled shopping street round the corner from the Spanish Steps.
The location of this hotel is excellent. 3 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps, 4 or 5 minutes from Trevi Fountain, 7 or 8 minutes from the Pantheon. The Colosseum is also within easy walking distance and you see lots of things along the way. There is a metro station round the corner near the Spanish steps but we only used it once as it's nicer to walk and see more of the architecture. The room itself was fine. Quite clean and tidy. The mini bar is reasonably priced (for a mini bar). The bathroom was new and modern although the shower didn't drain properly so the tray would fill up and overflow, cascading down the steps from the bathroom into the bedroom area. The only problem we had was that there was a connecting door to one of the other rooms and the first night we were there the people nextdoor were talking loudly and playing some kind of God awful euro dance music and sounded like they were in the room with us due presumably to the thin door. We spoke to the guy on the 24hr reception though and he phoned their room and asked them to keep it down which they did immediately. Worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper though. The hotel staff were very helpful overall, telling us where all the sights were, recommending restaurants, etc and minding our bags for us between check out and departing for the airport. The continental breakfast was nice too. Overall I'd recommend this as a great place to stay if you're staying for the weekend and want to be close to everything.

Great location, rubbish breakfast.Posted Feb 22, 2012
Great location, rubbish breakfast. Friendly staff, shower cubicle falling apart. Good price for the location and standard of room. Very central but on a quiet street. I would use this hotel again (although it is not a hotel, or a guest house but a few rooms in an apartment building).
