close to St Peter's Square

Posted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: the staff being friendly, the close proximity to Metro, cleanliness of the hotel
Cons: the wireless Internet service.
Location: close to Metro station, St Peter's Square, Vatican Museum, a japanese restaurant right across from the hotel
the hotel is nice, walking distance to St Peter's Square, Vatican Museum, and most importantly is close to the Metro station. Hotel staff were friendly, receptionists all were fluent in english, and helpful in giving directions when asked. The buffet breakfast was great. WiFi/Internet service was free, but was a disappointment, it was impossible to get a connection in our room, we had to stay in the reception area in the lobby to get a better internet connection. Will stay in this hotel in the future.

Well placed hotel for west of river Tiber

Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: Nice big bedroom; plenty of storage space; comfortable bed; all areas nicely appointed;airy breakfast room with excellent choice of food
Cons: Television only had three channels, I was told there was a problem with reception.
Location: Vatican City fifteen minutes walk away as was nearest metro station; Stadio Olimpico 40 mins walk away. immediate surroundings mumdrum.
Four nights over a weekend in late February in connection with rugby international at the Stadio Olimpico.

No No No!!!

Posted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything!! This is NEVER a Four Star as advertised, maybe during the 1950's!!!
Location: Very close to The Vatican
Wow!! And that's a bad "Wow" - Nothing good about this place at all really. The walls are filthy, haven't seen a lick of paint since the Sistine Chapel was painted I'd say! IF you do book here, pray you don't get Room 331, there's a constant clunking sound that doesn't help with sleep. What you order for breakfast you don't get. And the quilt cover on the bed had lots of cigarette burn holes in it. Oh and the TV didn't work, aerial just hanging out of the wall, and various plug sockets in the room faulty. Nova Domus.....Big No from me

Nice Hotel

Hotel was comfortable and clean and very friendly staff. It is only 10-15 mins walk from the Vatican museum so an ideal location. The room needed updating but other than we had good experience there.

4 Star Flop

Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: You could walk to the Vatican and shops in 10-15 minutes.
Cons: The hotel needs a serious facelift and overhaul of all non-suite rooms. The breakfast also lacked severely.
Location: It was near several restaurants and shops and you could reach the Vatican within 15 minutes walking.
Checked in for my 50th Birthday for 3 nights. First room had no A/C or hot water. Hotel said they would refund $$ for inconvenience and upgrade me to a better room. Returned from 12 hour tour to find myself in a smaller room with a less comfortable bed and no A/C. Asked hotel to transfer me, they did but to a location 4 kilometers away from anything and not within walking distance of Vatican City or anything else. Returned to hotel and accepted room due to exhaustion of not sleeping the night before. Third morning, spoke with management about refund and upgrade. They said I needed to deal with Expedia for refund but gave me a suite room. The suite room was actually nice but the rest of the hotel needs to have a serious renovation in the rooms. The hallways had new carpet but that doesnt make the squeeky beds any more comfortable. This four star hotel needs a downgrade to 3 Star at best.

our hotel was in a great location,

Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Location, staff were great and helpful and the cost were all positive aspect.
Cons: furniture had and appliance should be updated, (no drawers , TV had only two channels no counter space in washroom )
Location: Nova Domus Hotel & Suites is a 4 star hotel in the centre of Rome, located nearby the marvellous scenery of St. Peter,
even though the hotel had great staff and a good location, there was only one negative point. the hotel walls were thin, could hear very one outside of your room, at time you felt people they were in your room itself, so not much sleep. Which was un pleasant.
