Great hotel, great location, definitely recommend

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Location: Metro stop within a very short walk (around 2min) and some tourists sites are accessible by foot such as the Colosseum (temperature dependent!)
Just got back from a week's stay at the Hotel Re Di Roma. As our first visit to Rome, we were a little apprehensive about what to expect from the city but the location choice was perfect. Just a short walk to the metro stop, the rest of the city and main tourist sites were very easily accessible from the hotel. The hotel itself was just what was required - we had the larger balcony room on the fourth floor, and it was wonderful. A very comfortable sized room with free air-con and wifi, along with an easy to use safe and a lovely bathroom. The breakfast options each morning were more than sufficient to set us up for a day of exploring and the staff were all friendly and accommodating to any requests. My boyfriend and I would definitely, without doubt recommend this hotel for both its excellent location and fabulous amenities. 10 out of 10!

Excellent value

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Simply, nothing to dislike!
Location: On arrival, late at night the area looked a little run down, which led to a bit of concern. However, the hotel and morning light put pay to any fears.
I couldn't fault the hotel or staff. All pre stay communications were answered quickly and efficiently and the staff were attentive and helpful at all times during the stay. The hotel room and facilities were clean and well kept, the only minor issue was the WiFi access, which wasn't available during our stay, but even then the staff offered the use of the hotel computer. If you have an opportunity take a short trip across the Piazza Re di Roma for an excellent and great value patisserie, again with really helpful staff. Well done Hotel Re Di Roma

Authentic Roman Experience

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Very helpful staff. Rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. We liked being in a "real" Roman neighborhood. The location requires some waling or taxis to get to tourist sites. Overall great experience.

Stayed in the Re di Roma hotel.

This hotel is an absolute gem.It does not have it's name on the outside for some reason;i don't know why.It is located in a quiet (one way,i think) street, and although it is slightly out of the centre of Rome, there is a metro station(Re di Roma) only about 120 yards at the end of the street;which can give you access to almost all of Rome. There is a small park in the middle of a large roundabout where the metro station is,which is quite pleasant to sit in.Overall, our 5 night stay in this hotel was excellent,my only gripe was that we were in a room designed for disabled people,i think, and the toilet seat was very high up!Apart from that this hotel is perfect.

Hotel location was excellent

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: We were fortunate to have a balcony so our room was big with a table and chairs to sit outside. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Would have preferred freshly made tea and coffee at breakfast and not get it from a machine
Location: As we were on a short break we were interested to visit the famous tourist sites so we di not really have the time to explore things to do locally.
Stayed for a 3 night spring break and found it easy to travel to the famous sight-seeing landmarks via public transport. it is beneficial to make the effort to get up early to avoid the big line ups or we noticed the lines were not as long late afternoon. Had some excellent meals reasonably priced within walking distance from the hotel to suit all tastes from lunch snacks to evening meals. As we were in a group of 8 we got the airport mini-bus from the airport and back which was well worth it although the underground station was near the hotel.
