Absolutely fantastic.Posted Sep 13, 2014
Location: Pantheon so close and extremely central
This was such a wonderful surprise behind those beautiful big green doors. Don't be deceived by the entrance!! Once upstairs the rooms are classic but modern. Work has been done to ensure the plumbing, electricity and air conditioning all work fabulously! A treat in Rome!! So convenient too. Just behind the Pantheon! I walked everywhere. Spanish steps, to the Colosseum.

Beautiful hotel in RomePosted Aug 24, 2014
Very happy and we had the most memorable stay in Relais Maddalena! Excellent hotel in every way from customer services to breakfast in the morning. Location of the hotel is amazing so close to Vatican City, Pantheon and within walking distance to lots of places we want to visit. The room is large, nicely decorated, clean and have the most beautiful view of the Santa Maria Maddalena church . Hotel staffs are so warm, friendly, and very nice. Overall, our stay in Relais Maddalena is perfect and beautiful! Best memories of our trip to Eternal Rome! Even the shared macaroons!

wonderful few days in Rome...Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The gorgeous rooms, and the excellent location.
Cons: I cant think of anything I would change!!
Location: The Pantheon is just a couple of buildings away: gorgeous! The Trevi Fountain is less than ten minutes walk..Spanish Steps about ten minutes further.
We stayed at Relais Maddalena Camere for two nights last week. The staff there were incredibly welcoming, and the room we had was exceptional. The ceilings must have been 15 feet high, or more, and decorated with a wonderful design. Our beds were very comfortable, and beautiful. Our room looked out to a fascinating courtyard, with two restaurants, and a gorgeous church. It was an interesting lively place, but at night, the windows were more than capable of providing silence so that we could sleep. The breakfast area was sunny and cheerful, and the spread was delicious. We were very centrally located, so were able to walk to all the sights we had selected. There was a taxi stand nearby for more distant ventures, like the Vatican. All in all, our stay was perfect, and I would stay at Relais Maddalena again in a heartbeat!

Updated, large rooms with high ceilings.Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Room sizes and location.
Location: Centrally located. Walking distance to key tourist attractions.
My husband and I loved the size of the room which was upgraded on our arrival. The bathroom had a tub and a rain-shower head. Everything in the room has been updated. We had no issues with internet access. Pictures posted on the internet perfectly represent what to expect from your stay. Staff was nice and helpful. The owner had very good recommendations about local attractions. Consider this place like a beautiful B&B. It is not a typical hotel where you can reach someone on staff 24 hours. Staff leaves at 5 pm. but make themselves available based on guest needs. We definitely would go back to stay there again!

Outstanding historic building in centre of RomePosted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Location, quality of fittings and attention to detail by staff
Cons: Absolutely nothing needs to change....
Location: All to see in Rome is walkable - Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Vatican, Forum, Coliseum,Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps; plus restaurants at the entrance!!
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in in Rome. Not the most expensive, nor the most extravagant.....simply the most superb location, with impeccable service and immaculately maintained. We experienced the full buzz of Rome's café culture in the daytime and evenings, followed by absolute tranquillity and (traffic-free) relaxation overnight - a perfect environmental ambience!! The "simple continental" breakfast is a delightful cornucopia of freshness.... We will be back.......

Excellent HotelPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of a 2.5 week trip in Europe, and I must say this was our favorite hotel. The location is great, in a piazza not far from the Pantheon. This location was also near restaurants, shopping, but was very quiet at night. The breakfast in the morning was light, but very fresh and a good selection. The room was an OK size (we booked a standard), but we were hardly there. The bathroom was also nice and modern. Would definitely stay again if we go back.

Beautiful hotel, amazing locationPosted Jun 3, 2014
Relais Maddalena is a perfect choice for any stay in Rome. The building is beautiful and in a fabulous location, mere steps from the Pantheon. Francesco and Selena are helpful and attentive, eager to offer recommendations and meet any required needs. The complementary breakfast is wonderful, served in a light and airy breakfast room......a great way to start the day. And as for our room, it was perfect. The decor was tasteful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Any family and friends headin to Rome will be directed straight to the Relais Maddalena! I hope to return again myself one day.

AMAZING PLACE!Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: The breakfast is not just any breakfast, it was a full on meal and it was fabulous! Meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, coffee, juices, FABULOUS!
Location: The location is perfect! It's about a 5 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, 1 minute walk to the Pantheon and Ciro Ciro restaurant downstairs is delicious!
Myself and 2 of my girlfriends went on a tour of Europe and Rome was by far our favorite place we stayed! Mainly because we LOVED this hotel. The staff are incredible. They helped us print boarding passes on our way out of town, they gave us directions to anywhere we needed and even recognized us when we passed them out on the streets and said hi to us and asked if we knew where we were going, which - most of the time we didn't! They could not have done one thing better, it was all perfect.

The best place to stay in Rome! Loved everything!Posted Apr 14, 2014
Relais Maddalena is the only place to stay in Rome. Not only was the location fantastic but Francesco and Selena could not help us enough. The rooms are gorgeous and breakfast just perfect. It was like a home away from home. We will definately be staying here again. Thankyou!
