Lots of positives!

Cons: Storage space!
Location: Near the Piazza di Navonna. Short walk to the Spanish Steps, shopping, lots of great restaurants Easy to grab cabs at the end of the block.
After reading quite a few negative reviews of this hotel I was really scared we had made a mistake booking it. It was recommended to us by friends and so we booked sight unseen. Then I did some research. Many reviews mentioned the broken elevator and the unhelpful staff. Luckily the elevator was working for us. Its a small boutique hotel, so I think some people expect too much, as if they are staying at the Four Seasons. My room fridge was broken, and they brought me a new one. I asked for extra hangers, I got them. The rooms were very clean, so were the bathrooms. The staff at the front desk were excellent. Got us cabs, pulled strings to get us dinner reservations, and overall were very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast next door was a lovely way to start each day. One caution: The design of the rooms has very little storage/shelf space. One small closet. No drawers. Prepare to have your clothes all over the place. We were there during a very hot week and we could set the thermostat and our rooms were very cold for Americans used to air conditioning. Very comfortable to sleep in. If you like small hotels close to EVERYTHING, this place is great.

I think the hotel Relais Orso was a great find. It's location is superb, the hotel staff was multilingual and extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. It has a great rooftop terrace to unwind and the hotel gives off that old Roman feel when you walk in and then modern boutique luxury upon entering the room.
