Do not book this hotel! Its not to standard. Needs to be re-hauled. Needs new paint, thorough cleaning, and water needs to be fixed and hardware. Its so terrible that we couldn't stand it and left as early as we can to transfer to another hotel. Never been to this kind of situation before.

The room had ants crawling over the dishes and bathrooms. We made the front desk aware but wasn’t reached until after we left. They offered a free minibar after we checked out. Once emailed them back they never responded. The room was very untidy and not kept up. Window was broken and lights on the terrace were broken as well. I would never recommend staying at this place to my worse enemy.

Fantastic location and price. The property is a bit older and run down. But it is clean and air conditioned and it does the trick especially if you’re not spending a lot of time in the room. A little odd to me that there is no “do not disturb” as we got a very early start to our days and would take a mid day nap, but housekeeping was very insistent that they had to come in, and then a second person would come in to check the housekeeping so it was a bit disruptive but if you’re out all day you wouldn’t even notice.

Check-in reception is NOT available until 9 pm, as stated. Did not receive an email about my “late” check-in until the day of and was confused, as original email from hotel confirmed available until 9 pm. Arrived at 5:40 pm and receptionist was still on-site but unwilling to help, kept repeating to read my email. Only after my muttering about her refusal to talk to me did she become more helpful. Not a nice welcome. Made my daughter and I uncomfortable that first night. Different receptionist the following morning was much more friendly and welcoming with finalizing check-in. Room itself was comfortable. Reliable air-conditioning. Quiet room. Very close to subway and many restaurants.

Very good location, very clean, surprisingly good
Booked this hotel for 2 nights, was a bit apprehensive as to what it would be like. Arrived at 11am and our room wasn’t quite ready, the lady on reception was happy to take our bags behind the desk and put them in our room once it was available. She was so helpful, showed us a map of Rome and where to go (places good for shopping, good nightlife areas, she even recommended a restaurant one night called Il Gardinio di Albinio 5 mins away which was lovely). The room was cleaned very well, spotless! We were given new towels each morning and our pjs were even nicely folded. Very comfortable bed in the double comfort rooms! Perfect location, 6mins from Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain, 20 mins from Colosseum and only 15mins cab journey to the Vatican which you could walk in 45mins probably. Some other nice places to eat were Ginger Sapori e Salute and Osteria dell’Ingegno. Highly recommend this hotel! We had the room nearest to reception which was a little noisy but not horrendous, we still managed to sleep!

The should be more careful
I know this would be childish, but I always travel with a teddy bear. When I arrive to the room, after they did the housekeeping, I found my bear in the floor. They should be more careful. At least, if they throw it when I wasn't there, they should pick it up so I didn't noticed. Also, the they we arrive the sink wasn't working, they told us to wait until next day when they fix it.

Nice hotel in great location and friendly staff!
Staff was very nice and helpful. They treated us very nicely. Very happy with check-in process. The room was nice and what we needed for our 1 night stay in Rome. Great location as well! walking distance to Trevi Foutain and many nice restaurants. They also helped us with luggage storage. I would stay here again when I am back in Rome! Thanks

The lady at the reception the day we arrived (Oct. 18, 2017) was very helpful & kind. She patiently guided us using a city map on how to go about the city by metro, taxi, or bus. She also booked our transfer to Civitavecchia.

Hotel staff and location are great. Room was clean and comfortable. Only downside is walls are thin and being that it is a city you hear normal city noises at night. Would stay here again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights recently (13th - 16th Oct). It is the perfect location - 1 minute walk from the Metro station which takes you to the Vatican and the Coloseum - 7 euros for a day travelcard! The hotel is also opposite two souvenir shops which also sell drinks, snacks etc. There are so many restaurants near by - we were never stuck for choice.. there is also a bakery a few doors down and an ice cream bar which was amazing. We got very lost walking to the Coloseum on the first day - the metro helped so much on the second day(there is only two lines so very easy to navigate)! However we were warned of pick pockets so always keep bags close to you and nothing kept in your back pockets. In regards to the hotel room we paid for a double economy room - to our surprise the room had a small kitchen with a hob, cutlery and a mini fridge - this was a great perk, especially as we bought a lot of drinks/water. The bathroom was very modern, however the water pressure in the shower was very weak. The main negative I had regarding this hotel was the location of our room - if you are given the room directly next to reception I would ask to move due to the following: - Our room was literally on the other side of the wall to reception - we could literally hear all the conversations in the lobby, the phone ringing etc. Also our room was next to the front door to the hotel, so everytime the front door closed our door in the room would slam!

walkable to anything in Rome
I saw mixed reviews on this place but the price was right. I travel all the time for work so am used to most hotel rooms. this place was a solid hotel. check in was easy and so was check out. wi fi works, room was clean, everything worked and i felt secure. I will say if your looking for lavish hotels this isn't it, it covers the basics and did a great job at that. from this location you can literally walk any where in room, it's about 3 blocks from the trevi fountain. we walked around and came back for breaks in between. 100's a restaurants and shops to stay busy and out of the hotel.

Roman Holiday
Four night stay in Rome, two minute walk from Metro and bus tour stop and ten minutes to Trevi Fountain Plenty of local great places to eat and mini mart close by, good place to base yourself for lots of exploring. Only down side was there was no reception in the evening, but it was easy enough to come and go when you liked without being bothered One small lift which relied on users to ensure they shut the outside door and if they didn't five flights of stairs wasn't a great end to a great day....

Roma Resort Barberini
Roma Resort Barberini” Reviewed 15 June 2017 We stayed at the Roma Resort Barberini for 3 nights. It was very easy to locate - we walked from the train station - about 15-20 minute walk. It was centrally located with good connections to public transport which we did not use - we walked to all the attractions such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Coliseum, even the Vatican. The room was a bit smaller, but clean with a decent sized bathroom and a good shower. It had a small refrigerator, lots of storage and a safe. The bed was comfortable. There were enough outlets to plug in our devices and the WiFi was okay. There was no breakfast at this location but there were a lot of options for food and shopping nearby. The room was cleaned daily, the staff was very good. Check in was easy, with fluent English, a map was provided along with good instructions regarding finding places of interest. The only con to this facility was that on several occasions we found the outside door open or or unlatched - although the area seemed safe enough it would be good to ensure the door closes properly upon entering or leaving the building. Loved staying in in the Barberini Resort. Jennifer is so helpful. The bed was nice and foldout sofas were good in the penthouse suite. The best part was the two verandas. One for coffee In the morn and one to look over the city in the evening. Only three blocks to coop for bread , milk and breakfast. Can't wait to return. Shower water pressure low but never spent too much time in shower.

great getaway in Rome
I came here with my wife on our tour of Italy. pleasantly surprised with all aspects. Room was ready early, we got upgraded to a suite at no cost. Room was modern and spotless. only negative comment was that the AC was noisy at times. Location was great. Right near Barberini Metro, Treviso Fountain and Spanish Steps. Nice cheap supermarket close by. Would say here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel and room was clean and located in a pretty central area. Noise level was low. You couldn't hear the people on the street. Wifi was very slow and didn't work for one evening. The lady at reception in the afternoon was not friendly or helpful at all in terms of questions on wifi or general Rome questions. The fridge also didn't keep anything cold.

Terrible wi-fi. Didn't work on both nights I was there. When I went down to the reception, to tell the that I had to talk to my daughters in the States, she told me in a not very nice manner, to go to the bar next door! Can you believe that!! At 10 pm !!

Nice home base in a cool part of Rome
Stayed at Roma Resort Barberini for 4 nights. The hotel is located steps from Barberini station on the Metro line A near many shops, restaurant, and attractions such as Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, and Capuchin museum and crypt. While it doesn't look like much from the outside you could tell the room and bathroom were recently renovated and have all the comforts one needs (except maybe for a safe and telephone). Staff was friendly, check in was quick, room was very clean and they can hold your bags after check out if you have a late flight and want to sight see around Rome on your last day there. For the price and location I'd definitely stay here again.

Amazing suites on the top floor!
We spent a short stay at this lovely hotel over the Christmas. We are a family of 4 with 2 bigger boys and booked a room for 4 people. When we checked in, the room was not available yet so we left our luggage at the reception. When we returned in the night, the room was ready and the hotel has sent our luggage to the room already, which was nice cos we were all tired. When we reached the top floor, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that our 'suites' were actually 2 connected rooms with 1 en-suite bedroom, a large living room with 2 sets of 3-seater sofabed, another toilet in the living room, a little pantry corner and 2 BALCONIES on opposite ends of the living room!!!! Both looked out to the city landscape of Rome! This is considered super luxurious considered the price we paid!! My boys have been sharing one sofabed during the trip and they really appreciated it that they could each have one bed to rest properly. The sufficient heating and comfortable bedding made us all sleep like babies. The best part is that we had our breakfasts at the balcony which came with outdoor seats and tables. We love the crisp air and the view so much! What better way to start the mornings with home-made breakfast overlooking the Christmas-decorated Rome! On the 26th morning, we could also hear the bells rung at a church at breakfast. Surreal but nice!

Overall, the hotel deserve the money I paid.
We had a comfortable stay and most staff were friendly. However, I also had two unpleasant experiences in the hotel. On the first day, I asked a night-time staff if there is an extra wine opener, since the one in my room didn't work properly. She recommend me to go ask a neighbouring pizzeria. On the last day, a coffee vending machine in the hotel gave me only milk without coffee. When I told her that the coffee machine seemed to be out of order, what I first heard from her was "I cannot do anything". I don't know exactly how they run the coffee machine and who own it. Even, I do not care!!! But I am sure that her attitude was far from what we would expect from a professional hotelkeeper.

Great location
We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a triple room so the size of the room was great. It was very clean and it had a very large bathroom. Glad it came with kitchen facilities. Just make sure you've got plenty of time to get to the hotel before the check-in time ends.

Wonderful position close to everything. Large room with huge balconies on either side of penthouse apartment. Very comfortable and clean inside. Perfect! One staff member not helpful but following one next day very good.
