“Vatican Suites”
I stayed at the Vatican Suite location for 4 days. My room was extremly clean and suited us very well. I was traveling with my husband and mother in law. I love the way the single bed was separated from the master bed as it did give my husband and I some privacy. The room also came with a kitchen which had plates, a pot and pan and cups. We found it to be very convenient since there is not a grocery store near. We managed to find a store and brought the food back to the hotel and were able to cook small snacks. I do recommend any travelers that stay there to be prepared to walk and bring comfty shoes. The hotel staff was very kind and provided us with a map and were helpful when we did have questions. The vatican is a 10-15 minute away however be prepared to walk up stairs and up hills. The terrace is very relaxing and provides some quietness. Note to travelers the taxi's charge parking tax due to vatican laws. Overall, the Vatican Suites is very clean and we were not inconvenienced with anything. We were very satisfied.
“Quiet area and close to the Vatican.”
This hotel is on a very quiet street. The room acutally had two bedrooms and it was very clean and large. We got a suite, but never used the kitchen area. The bathrub didn't have the shower that hangs above you so you had to use one hand to try and shampoo your hair and the other to hold the shower head. We did not like that at all. The tub is very high off the floor also. We didn't have a problem getting in and out, but elderly people would definitely have a problem. We were told we would have a safe, but it didn't work. It needs a new battery. The hotel staff came up and locked the safe and then we had to have them unlock it upon our departure. I didn't like this as I wanted to store my iPad in it, but due to downloading photos from my camera I would have had to have them come up each day to unlock and then relock. Very inconvenient to hotel guests. Someone needs to buy a battery!!! The only place you can get free Wi-Fi is from the rooftop, but they lock it at 10 pm. It would have been nice to sit out and have some wine later in the evening, and use the Wi-Fi, but they locked it too early. It was worth the money, but the little things add up when staying for three days!
“Average Hotel by some staff not very friendly”
The hotel was near the Vatican and close to many places that we wanted to see. They stated free wifi but you had to go to the roof to use it! Most of the staff were friendly except for the night counter person. If you asked him a question he acted as if you were putting him out. All of the other staff were very helpful and would go out of their way to help you. The bed was 2 single beds pushed together so you had a crack in the middle of the bed and not very much hot water. When I go back to Rome in the spring, I will find another hotel. There are many more hotels in that area.
“Impressed but...”
In terms of location and concierge service, I couldnt fault the hotel. The staff were helpful and engaging, The room was perfect for what we were looking for i.e. a place to rest your legs after the long hours walking the streets of Rome. But we would have liked clean towels daily. The towels we received were a bit dirty (even when they had been supposedly cleaned). If you're not OCD on that then the hotel will fit your requirements.
“Excelent location”
Excelent location (at 10 minutes walk from Saint Peter's Piazza) and attention of hotel personnel. Cleanliness impeccable. Surrounding neighborhood is beautiful with very good restaurants close enough to the hotel to get there walking. We had trouble with the TV set, which did not work properly. No restaurant available in the hotel but each room has a small kitchen with fridge. I would go back whenever back in Rome and gladly recommed it to others.
“Nice Place, Good Location”
This is an unusually quiet place in Rome with a good location right next to the Vatican. The rooms are adequate and clean
“Great place to stay”
Great place to stay very close to center of the city
“Perfect for our needs.”
The hotel was everything we want. Large rooms, kitchen and refrig, close to Vatican. Overal loved it and would not hestitate to recommend it or stay there again. Pauk
“Short review”
Perfect, good location
“Great Neighborhood!”
This is a modest apartment style hotel that offers great value! This is not a hotel for someone who wants to sit in the room the whole time, it is a tourist's hotel! The kitchenette was great for snacks and a quick breakfast. The only negative is the 15 minute walk to the subway, but many bus lines run nearby too.
