sight-seeing in rome

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: clean and friendly in a nice part of town
Cons: The inclusion of a proper dining room and bar/lounge.
Location: Easy access to central rome and tourist attractions
If you are only interested in a bed for a few nights in a clean and friendly residence this is ideal. We were very happy as this is all we wanted this time.

Stylish ajnd Modern

Posted Mar 26, 2013
Stylish ultra modern room with comfortable bed and excellent en-suite bathroom. Well located to the north of the city for easy access to two Metro stations about 15 minutes walk away for all the sights. Not really a hotel - more a collection of rooms in a private apartment block. This proved both an advantage and a disadvantage..... on the plus side, an informal atmosphere and merciful lack of fawning staff that spoil so many hotels. But on the downside, staff could not provide an iron and ironing board for our creased clothes, and the breakfasts were virtually non existent with not even creamer for our tea/coffee provided. Also nowhere to eat breakfast in spite of there being two communal areas that could have doubled in this role. With those small details put right this could be a superb place to stay.

Good hotel- great location.

Posted Dec 11, 2012
Pros: The location is great! There is a park to running or walking. There's a grocery store in close walking distance as well as several small restaurants.
Cons: It was not as clean as I would have hoped- but it was still cleaner than other hotels I have stayed at.
Location: Best location!
I stayed for 4 days before taking the train to Milan. I was put into an apartment to start- which was nice but seemed a bit over the top for a single traveller. I felt strange like I had invaded someone's house. The air-con was smelly but otherwise it was OK. Later in the week they moved me into the hotel which has a modern design. The hotel is a bit hidden- and once you are inside the compound finding your way to the hotel is tricky. There could be better signage to instructions guests on how to find the hotel reception. This was not the best hotel I have ever stayed in but it was also not the worst. It was good for me because I wanted to go running each morning and this is close to Borghese park where you can get a good run in.

Perfect city base: comfortable room; great staff

Posted Nov 3, 2012
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, impecable cleanliness
Cons: hmm... no view
Location: Business centre: restaurants expensive, but quiet at night
Although families were staying at the hotel, I would probably suggest it's better suited to couples. Every day the linen and towels were changed; the reception staff were amazingly friendly and helpful; the bed was comfortable and room well proportioned. An excellent stay - would definitely use this hotel again.

Good quick stay

Posted Sep 20, 2012
Pros: Location
Cons: Wifi and continental breakfast
Location: Quiet for Rome
The staff is very accommodating, anything they will do their best to help or fix. The pics look way nicer than it is? Only prob was our room was in a separate building so we didn't have wifi? We had to walk to another building where the concierge desk is to use wifi, it became a bit annoying. But if you need a quick stay in a cute location stay here, more quiet section of the city. O and there isn't a continental breakfast even though it's advertised! Things that I would like to have known.

Good location, nice rooms but average overall.

Pros: Location (Hard Rock Cafe five minutes around corner)
Cons: Hard to spot from street, poor courtyard views, below average breakfast.
Location: Close to Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese. Train station is easily accessible by foot.
Good location, very close to Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese. Our second visit to Rome so was happy where it was situated. However, no building name is visible on the street so was easily missed until we realised there was a buzzer at the entrance. Two floors up or a suspicious-looking lift. We saw various members on reception, the majority of them friendly with a good knowledge of English. However, the reception area can get quite noisey especially for rooms 101, 102 and 103 when you're trying to sleep. (Italians stay up late!) We had a "courtyard view", this we were disappointed with as it just overlooked other neighbours back yards (this is a shared building) and could see into other people windows, therefore lacked privacy. Breakfast was no more than a couple of packet cakes with a croissant (which we could've purchased from a Spar around the corner) and a couple of yoguarts - which lacked spoons! It is brought to your room at your convenient time but had to inform reception each day. Did not realise this so went out for breakfast one morning which was much better! Tea, coffee. sugar was not replenished and had to purchase milk and keep in mini bar. Although we were out most of the day, no English television channels were available, not even news, and most of the channels had poor reception or not available. Lastly the room had air conditioning but not good enough to cool down room, noisey and awkward to use. Cleaned daily and given fresh towels, well presented.

Great for families

Pros: Character building on the outside, fresh and modern on the inside.
Cons: Confusing breakfast arrangements.
Location: Brilliant location close to lovely shops plenty restaurants near by. Within walking distance to many beautiful sights.
Welcome at arrival was warm but lots of different people working at reception some were helpful and some not so. Room was great size for a family of four very spacious and very clean, fresh towels every day. Guest House is in brilliant location close to the beautiful Borghese Park a lovely area we walked everywhere there's so much to see.

Good guest house

Posted Aug 14, 2012
Pros: Size, modenity and conditions of the bathrooms.
Cons: Is a office building with several hotel rooms in one floor.
Location: Good location, Villa Borguese park at 3 blocks, 3 blocks from Via Benetto
It is not a hotel, it is a "Guest House", the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are also modern, clean and comfortable. But this is NOT A HOTEL!. There are several hotel rooms in an office building. The elevator is very small and antique. The breakfast were good. Very Italian.
