Walking distance to all major attractions

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Location!
Cons: Rooms are sparse.
Location: Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Colosseum, Pantheon and the Roma Termini train station.
The rooms in Residenza Ki are nothing to brag about but they're clean and comfortable. They all have air conditioning units which work very well - a luxury which is not to be underestimated in the summer. The hotel puts on a nice breakfast that is included in the room price. Residenza Ki's biggest asset is its location. Its just steps from the Trevi Fountain and less than a mile from the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Its also an easy walk to the train station. With the exception of going to and from the airport, I didn't take a taxi to anywhere in Rome because everything was within walking distance from the hotel.

Excellent Location

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Cons: An elevator will be good.
The hotel is just a short walk away from Barberini station ( to the right) and Fontana de Trevi ( to the left). Great location and the staff was excellent. Breakfast was good except the eggs. Cons: No lift/elevator meaning you will have to drag your suit case up the stairs up to the third floor.

A few days in Rome...

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Excellent customer service and a comfortable stay.
I spent 4 days at the Residenza Ki and was really impressed by the staff's personal, genuine customer service. I asked if the rooms had a coffee maker as I knew I would be leaving fairly early a few days and the lady at the desk got me a tea maker as well as an entire tray of breakfast food for my children so we would have breakfast before we left. Then, as we were leaving, we were greeted by her in the lobby/dining area because she came to work early that morning so we would have croissants as well. This was excellent customer service that can only be delivered by a small hotel owner who genuinely cares about the hotel as well as its guests. The hotel was plenty comfortable - its small, as one should expect with a bed and breakfast. The shower, as with all European showers, was tiny compared to American standards, but the air conditioning was cold, the location was good and the customer service made this an easy recommendation. Easy walk to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, the Colosseum (and therefore the Roman Forum, etc). Around the corner from the Barberini metro and a taxi stand.

Great Location, Decent Hotel, Poor Bathroom

Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: The location was the best point - only a few minutes walk to the centre of Rome.
Cons: The breakfast menu needed an increase in options, especially with more hot food options. The bathroom needed an upgrade.
Location: Very close to Trevi fountain.
The location of the hotel was excellent - 5-6 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain. The hotel itself was quite small - a reception room on the first floor, and a breakfast room on the the second floor..that's about it. The reception is not manned 24 hours - only from about 8.30AM-5PM - so a bit of an issue if you ever needed to speak to someone out of these hours. The breakfast was relatively poor - majority of it was cold food - and not many options. Although the bedroom was nice, the bathroom was small and in poor condition- needing a refurbishment - the toilet seat was coming off, and you could barely sit down on the toilet without hitting your knees on the wall. Shower also took a while to produce hot water. Could not open the shower doors without hitting the sink...

Don't stay on the second floor

Posted May 19, 2014
Whilst the hotel is in a very good location the rooms on the second floor directly lead on to the breakfast area and so it does become quite noisy after around 7.15 in the morning. A real shame as the breakfast and coffee in particular were very good and the staff very friendly. Also, Expedia stated check in was from 2 to 8pm. We arrived at 7pm to be greeted by a note and directions on the front door to collect our room key from another hotel, Hotel Saturnia which was a 10 -15 minute walk away. Not really what you need when you arrive with all your luggage after a long journey in an unfamiliar city. We noticed a similar note left for another guest a couple of nights later.

Central hotel, within walking distance to most of

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: For the price, we were quite satisfied with the hotel. Sadly, there is no lift.
Location: Perfecft location. Close to a lot of sights. A couple of minutes from the Trevi fountain and a few minutes from Roman steps.
Our room, for a week, was comfortable and had a tv. kettle, fridge and hairdryer. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and a lot of choice. Always hot water for the shower.

Hotel very pleasing and central to all the sites

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: The staff were great
Cons: Not a lot as it would be impossible to install a lift and that was my only problem.
Location: The location was perfect close to the trevi fountained all other sites
We enjoyed our stay at the residenza ki nothing to much trouble , staff were brilliant wouldn't stay again only because I had trouble with the stairs and we had 4 flights to climb, other than that we loved it

Good value friendly hotel ideally located

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: It was in a perfect location and we like the fact that it was a small friendly hotel.
Cons: Some of the d├ęcor was a little tired but it didn't bother us as it was very clean.
Location: Ideal for Trevi fountain and Pantheon. Lovely streets and piazzas to discover nearby. Palazzo Barberini at the top of the street.
We were warmly welcomed and provided with good information and local knowledge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although the accommodation was a little worn around the edges it was very clean and we had everything we needed.

Nice hotel close to di Trevi, but ...

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Nice small hotel close to di Trevi fountain. There are two different kind of rooms. Some large with windows and some very small without windows. Bathroom are very small in both. Good breakfast but there is not so much space for all people so you must wait for your table. Staff is very nice and heplful. Good choice but with some small defects.
