Lovely hotel in a perfect locationPosted Aug 22, 2014
Located in Trastevere with all of it's narrow cobbled lanes full of bars and restaurants. All of the major sights were in walking distance and it was lovely coming back to the area with its relaxing neighbourhood feel after a busy day to unwind. The hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot, was clean and the staff very friendy. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I would definitely stay again, loved it!!! Stayed for a week in August - travelled as a couple

Perfect trastevere hotelPosted Jun 6, 2014
After traveling throughout Italy for 3 weeks we landed in Rome for 4 nights prior to our flight back to LA. This hotel was perfect for rest and relaxation in an area that is pedestrian friendly and super comfortable and quiet! The reception staff helpful and friendly-breakfast delicious!

Great locationPosted Jan 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
This six-bedroom place is perfect if you don't need all the trappings of a 4-5 star hotel and are keen to experience a more 'local' experience of Rome. Charming/eclectic neighbourhood with masses of bars and restaurants to choose from - and a good jumping off point (on foot, bus or tram) for all the sights. It was always relaxing to get back to Trastevere and the Residenza after a day of high Roman culture. Rooms and bathrooms are slightly tired looking but clean and absolutely fine for the price. Friendly, informal, knowledgeable staff; they are not there all the time and you often let yourself in and out with a special key code. But fellow guests (to be found congregating in the one wifi hotspot) keep the place feeling congenial in the absence of staff.

Cute hotel in excellent locationPosted Jan 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Trastevere is a beautiful place to stay and this hotel is only a minute's walk from Piazza Santa Maria. It is full of character and our stay was effortless, easy check-in, good service. We walked to everywhere in central Rome but the tram is nearby and easy for longer trips.

Clean cozy hotel in TrasteverePosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Quaint, near the happening area of Trastevere.
We stayed here one night before moving on to a hotel next the airport. Cozy place, quiet and only a block off of the fountain area. Near S.Maria Piazza. This is an area similar to Soho in NYC. I would stay here again if wanting to spend time in Trastevere.

Quiet gem in great locationPosted Apr 2, 2013
Nice room, nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable. It is indeed a "residenzia" - closer to a B&B than a hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful, GREAT location in Trastevere near lots of nice bars, restuarants, shops, while being very quiet and cozy.

Charming, quiet oasis in TrasteverePosted Mar 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Residenza Santa Maria is a very comfortable and quiet retreat from the bustle of Trastevere around Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. The staff is uniformly kind and helpful. Well worth modest expense and time to get to sights acrossTiber.
