Central locationPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Lovely bathroom and excellent maid service
Cons: Friendliness of bar staff and receptionist, byways ridiculed regarding size of bar bill!
Location: Excellent location, walking distance to most, and only a 12 euro taxi drive to Vatican and colosseum.
Very nice hotel within walking distance to most attractions, beds were very firm. Very clean room if a little small. Only downside was bar staff and reception staff were a little cool and unwelcoming.

Che Bene! Great location & wonderful staff...Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: The staff, the complimentary breakfast and location were among my favorites... Last but not least, the view from the top was GORGEOUS!
Cons: The decor could stand a bit of updating, OR a good dose of TLC to restore to its classic styling.
Location: Piazza del Popolo is literally a 5 minute walk away and opens up into charming streets for shopping, site-seeing and eating in Rome...
Everything from confirming our reservation, to check-in, to check-out was handled meticulously by the staff here - and in a warm and welcoming fashion. This was my first trip to Italy, as well as my cousin's and in addition to having a comfortable, pleasing environment at the hotel -- the staff provided us with wonderful suggestions on where to go and what to do in the area.

Central Position, walking distance of most placesPosted Jun 24, 2015
This hotel is just outside the city walls and within walking distance of most places you might wish to go. Otherwise the hop-on hop-off bus is close by. Reception staff are friendly, efficient and largely English speaking. Though the 'classic' rooms are a bit on the small side they are clean and well furnished, One tip: the 'bar snacks' served in the 'happy hour' in the evening are enormous. if you had a good lunch you could probably do without an evening meal.

Excellent Hotel within walking distance of sights.Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: The Character and friendly staff.
Cons: A outside seating area would be great so you could sit outside in the evenings.
Location: Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, Pantheon , Colosseum.
Lovely hotel within walking distance to most major attractions. (excluding Vatican city) Furthest was Colosseum about 40 min walk or you have the option to catch the metro. Hotel was clean and full of roman character, staff very friendly and helpful and happy hour at the bar between 6.30-10.30 made eving drinking very affordable with the added bonus of complimentry bar snacks. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Great hotel with amazing staff!Posted Jun 14, 2015
My husband and I had the greatest time while in Rome, and most of it was thanks to wonderful and helpful staff at the River Palace Hotel. They would constantly give us directions, recommend places to eat and recommend ways to get around the city. The hotel is very close to the metro station and also very close to the Piazza del Popolo and a lot of other beautiful things to see. The only problem we encountered during our visit was that the wi-fi in the hotel was very spotty so a lot of time, we didn't get a connection in our room on the 6th floor. Even when we tried to head downstairs to the lobby/lounge area to try and Skype with some family, we were getting a bad connection. Other than that, the entire experience was amazing!
