Wonderful hotel in great locationPosted Dec 3, 2013
Hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and went out of their way to help. Location was excellent and convenient to all the sites. Enjoyed the happy hour from 6-10 pm with 1/2 price drinks, free snacks, and lovely bar and seating area. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. It was wonderful in all respects and the price was very reasonable.

Great location, hated the carpet!!!Posted Dec 2, 2013
The hotel was okay. Staff very friendly and helpful. room was small but that was fine.. Bathroom was clean but needs some upgrade. elevator kind of weird and too small. I HATED the carpet they need to change it is old and although it seemed cleaned it felt dirty anyway that has to go. Breakfast was good, I mean food was just okay but the city was beautiful if I ever go back I will find a newer and more modern hotel.

Centrally locatedPosted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: Central location, breakfast, happy hour
Cons: Beds in my opinion are hard but not everyone would feel this way. Showers are small but not sure how this could be improved as it is a small hotel.
Location: Just about any major sites in Rome.
This centrally located hotel ensures you have a full stomach to start your day of sightseeing as the breakfast has just about anything for anyone. The hotel staff is very friendly and will offer suggestions for lunch and diner and the restaurants they suggested were great. They do have a great happy hour each night in the hotel bar, which also includes snacks so this makes for great way to either end your day or come back to relax before heading out to dinner or further sightseeing. My room was a single (twin bed) and as expected small, which I don't mind because I didn't come to Rome to stay in my hotel. It did have everything I need, but the shower was very small and made for challenging showers. The bed is also hard in my opinion but some prefer this so this won't present any challenged for those that prefer firm beds.

Great locationPosted Nov 28, 2013
We enjoyed our stay at the River Palace Hotel very much for many reasons, it was clean, the people that worked there were awesome, kind, and did their best to accommodate and they understood English very well (or at least pretended to) either way they made you feel at home. It was close to the subway, buses, and metro this made it very easy to get to any tourist sight you want to go to. Did I mention the buffet breakfast and the happy hour(s) 6-10. You will just need to experience it for yourself. Only one thing to complain about the lighting in the bathroom is dim and hard to see. All in all we enjoyed our10 day stay and would highly recommend his hotel for any ones stay short or long.

Good Hotel in a Good LocationPosted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: The best part of this hotel was its size, not too big and more personalized that a lot of hotels.
Location: Location was great, situated within a 2 minute walk of Piazza Del Popolo. Easy walk to most attractions including Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain.
Hotel staff was very accommodating, most spoke very good English and were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nicely decorated, clean and in an excellent location, close to transportation. One of the drawbacks, however is their elevators - they are small and because of the layout of the hotel, you need to access two elevators to get to the rooms. Rooms are on the very small side, but that is common for most European hotels. Rooms, although generally very small, were in great condition and very clean, bathrooms were well laid out. The hotel was quiet and the area was good and also very quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. There were a number of very good eating establishments around the hotel which made it very convenient and because of its location you could walk to most of the tourist attractions.

Rooms have paper thin walls it seems. Not a big deal unless you NEED sleep. Breakfast and free wifi were great!

Very nicePosted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: Location and luxurious.
Cons: The room (twin) was very small. The shower door was a problem for someone a little overweight.
Location: Great location! Access to everything, but out off the main fray.
The hotel was beautiful and very well kept. It had everything you'd need in a hotel. The staff was great and willing to help. The only downside was that the room (a twin) was small. The bathroom was beautiful, but the shower stall had such a small opening door. BTW- great breakfast. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a short stay...for a long stay, it might get a little tight. However, it is at the best location. Out of the fray of Via Corsi, on the north side of the Piazza del Popolo, but it gives you access to all locations. So, short term luxury in a great spot.

The Excellent River Palace Hotel!Posted Nov 16, 2013
Pros: We liked everything about this hotel & will definitely return.
Cons: We cannot fault it as value for money
Location: Excellent location.Flaminia Metro station closeby but main sights walkable.Main shops/restaurants just beyond Piazza. Recommend 'Lowenhaus' to eat.
It is difficult to fault this hotel for a short city break. Everything about the hotel was of a very high quality & the bar/lounge area was quite luxurious & very relaxing. Be sure to take advantage of the discounted drinks there in the evening(50%) and the complimentary snacks! The buffet food available for breakfast was quite extensive, giving special mention to the numerous pastries! Although the bedroom was still on the small size, despite upgrading to superior, it was well equipped & of a very high standard. The bathroom was large and the whole appearance had the 'wow factor'. The staff couldn't do enough for us & reception on the final day were particularly helpful in contacting the airport shuttle bus company to check the pick up time. We look forward to our next stay.
