Good LocationPosted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff , excellent breakfasts
Cons: The music in the bar is terrible, there is a lovely piano in there but wasn't used during our stay.
The hotel location is close enough to walk to most attractions & just away from the noise of the streets. The hotel staff are friendly & helpful. The bathrooms are very small , people should be aware of this.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel in great locationPosted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Location. Cleanliness. Friendly staff.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities provided
Location: Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps only a few minutes walk away. Ideally situated for all city attractions.
Stayed here for a three night city break in Rome. Found the hotel to be clean and comfortable, and has lovely décor throughout. Staff were always attentive and polite. Breakfast was sumptuous - a good selection of both hot and cold foods, fruit, cereals and pastries, and even a glass of Prosecco if you fancied it at that time in the morning. Only one suggestion for improvement - it would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A good location - on a quiet street but only minutes from the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain - central but without the bustle!

Fabulous location!Posted Apr 12, 2014
Fabulous location, walking distance of all sights & shops. Plenty of restaurants around. Helpful, friendly staff. Hotel decor was lovely & very clean. The breakfast included was brilliant, lots of choice & plenty of food no matter how late we went down. Great happy hour with free bar snacks/buffet included. Room slightly on the cosy side but as a base to explore the city this wasn't a problem and no different to any other city centre hotel I have stayed in, mini bar prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend 100%!

Classy City Centre HotelPosted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable accommodation and central location. The evening happy hour with half price drinks and free nibbles is a real plus
Cons: no observation
Location: Next to the Piazza del Popolo and walking distance to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. Recommend the Time Elevator!
Thoroughly enjoyable stay in the heart of Rome to which the hotel was a major contributor. It was the perfect location for easy, flat, walking access to all the main attractions and must see venues not to mention the excellent shopping opportunities assuming your credit cards can take the strain! We will definitely be returning to the River Palace Hotel.

Nice hotel. Close to everything.Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: The staff, happy hour, breakfast, location
Location: Metro, gelato, restaurants, walkable to sights
River Palace was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Happy hour in the evenings was an added bonus. The complimentary breakfast was complete with everything you need to start your day. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The metro station was a block and a half away and very easy to use even though we had never used a metro before. By the way, if you plan ahead, you can buy as many metro tickets at the ticket machine that you think you'll need for your stay and validate them as needed to avoid having to buy them individually every morning.

Pros: Great location. Metro one block away close to shopping.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was excellent.
Location: Location excellent not in heart of downtown but just at the right distance! Excellent for walks. Popolo square is one block away.
Hotel is located right next to Popolo square. Great spot. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Happy hour was very nice with assortment of tapas/finger food. Would highly recommend this hotel! Looking forward to going back next year.

Exceptional ServicePosted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: The service, the cocktail hour and the location.
Cons: The room floor plan was small but that is just the style of the building, the hotel have made very good use of the space and upgrades were available.
Location: Down the road, en route to Piazza del Popolo, is a lovely gelato shop called Ti Amo Gelato.
Our stay at River Palace Hotel was made by the service, everyone was friendly, helpful and could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was varied, tasty and ran until 10.30 so we did not have to hurry out of bed in the morning! The cocktails and bar area were lovely and if we had not spent so much time enjoying leisurely Italian dinners we would have loved to have spent more time drinking their excellent (in taste and value) cocktails during their extensive (the whole evening) happy "hour". Our room was compact but did not feel cramped due to the high ceilings and had everything we needed, it was clean and although we were offered a room upgrade at a reasonable price when we arrived I do not think we really needed the extra space. Also the free wi-fi was easy to log into in the room, great for planning your day out in Italy from your smartphone.
