Charming B&B off the beaten path near Vatican

Posted May 1, 2015
Pros: The staff were friendly and accommodating, each room's unique look was a nice change from chain hotels, and shared kitchens were a nice option.
Cons: Walls may be a bit thin. Some paint/hardware could use a facelift but nothing that bothered us. A sign out front would be helpful to new arrivals!
Location: Vatican is a short walk; San Pietro is nearby but metro is too far away to be useful. Tabaccheri across the street is convenient for a quick bite.
We stayed at Roma Dreaming for 12 nights. Even though we had one of the smaller suites (Light Brown), there was a small terrace (off the bathroom) and it was still a comfortably sized room for our long stay. Smaller than a room you'd expect to find in a standard American hotel, but cozy, with a queen size bed, small safe (wide enough to hold a tablet), minibar, satellite TV (you can change the language to Originale if available by pressing the "i" button), closets, and a desk along the wall. A light breakfast is served daily between 7:30 and 9:30 (just let them know when), consisting of rolls, croissants, juice, a hot beverage option (tea, coffee, etc.), and alternating items each day (yogurt, cookies, pastry). Our room had a shower, which was quite narrow, and you do need to be careful of the water when getting in and out as there's no lip; just make sure it's all drained before opening the door. The staff were very helpful, providing information about how to get around, even calling a taxi and making dinner reservations for us. It is a little tricky to locate, but once you get the hang of it it's easy to find the main road, which leads to a 10 minute walk to the Vatican (with plenty of restaurants along the way). Wifi IS available in the rooms (if a bit slow); we were given a password when we checked in. This hotel is probably best for couples, but I think there are a couple of family suites available. Overall we were pleased with the value and the experience.

Boutique in Rome!

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: It was compact, well appointed and and the continental breakfast is substantial, a great way to start each day's adventure in Rome!
Cons: The hotel is a couple of minutes from San Pietro train station but the road names are confusing. Get clear instructions if you're not using a taxi!
Location: Bang next to the Vatican. 10 minutes into Rome. Fantastic!
We were looked after superbly by the staff at Roma Dreaming. The Room is very high spec for the price - in fact even for a lot higher rate! The location near the Vatican is outstanding. Walking home at night with the Basillica Dome lighting your way is very special. The walk into the City Centre is a 10 minute stroll before the piazzas open up to you. Highly recommended.

nettes Hotel in nähe Petersdom

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: zentrale Lage
Location: 5-!0 min. vom Petersdom entfernt. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten z.B. Engelsburg, Piazza Navona, Pantheon usw. in max. 40 min. Fußweg erreichbar.
Nette Lokale in der näheren Umgebung zum teil sehr preiswert und lecker.

Gerne wieder, tolles Hotel

Posted Mar 13, 2015 on Hotels
Tolles Hotel, sehr zentral gelegen, fünf Minuten zum Petersdom. Tolle Aussicht.

Anbefales!

Posted Jan 18, 2015 on Hotels
Sonja & Dag Robert.

Excellent view, location and lovely staff

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: View, staff, location
The staff was lovely, great location, there's even a train station like 400 mts from the hotel, so we took the train to the airport from there, a lovely view of the St peter's church, a great terrace if you pick the red room :)

Roma Long Weekend

Posted Dec 25, 2014 on Hotels
Room with a small balcony and a nice view. There was a small shared kitchen though breakfast was served in the room :-) The service/staff was great. The Vatican was a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Great hotel for a long weekend!
